DeWalt 204 Piece Mechanics Tool Set: $157.49

Picked this up yesterday ... Really nice.
It is the last socket set I will ever need and a nice upgrade to the random collection of mis-matched ratchets and sockets I have been using for years.
Did not have an acute need to get it but am happy to have it.

I noticed this also...furthermore, there was an additional tool set that Sears.com used to carry, which is no longer/hasn't been listed on their web page now for quite some time...the 156 piece set.

Kind of curious to see how this plays out...

Everything else shows up though still...

Had some additional SYWR points and noticed that the DeWalt wrench sets were 29.99 and they were running the 25 off 100 promo...so threw some DeWalt filler in there and just waiting on all of that to come in.

that promo likely ran till 12/31 and has ended yesterday. it auto applied for eligible items, no code needed. but it's over afaik.

i don't remember they ever run dewalt 25off100 at sears during most time of the year except for year end holidays. but i'm likely wrong.

I may post a new thread, but it seems relevant to revive this here, and I could not find discussion on this 'other' set elsewhere....

Isn't the Dewalt DWMT75049 192-piece tool set the same as the 204 set excepting without the 12 wrenches?
I looked at the Dewalt Listing on it and all the piece listing appears otherwise the same.

The only thing I note is that Dewalt does not list the same features (like 72 tooth, etc) in their listing for the 204 set, but I cannot imagine its different socket tools.

Seems like something to watch as the holidays approach, because I think we can forget about the 204 set coming out again.

What say you? Anyone have this set?

Bringing this one back from the dead, I just picked up the 204 piece for ~$115 from Amazon....

$155 down from $189, with $20 off $100 on DeWalt products with an additional 15% statement credit from Amazon Store Card (standard 5% + bonus 10% 'Dads and Grads').

The $155 price is good for 6 more days and the $20 off $100 and 15% statement credit offers are good through June 18.

I bought this set from Amazon on May 22 and still waiting for it to ship. Suppose to ship May 29. We shall see.

As far as i know it's $100 on DeWalt products, so throw in the cheapest item you can find and it should give you the $20 off!

I grabbed on of these 204 piece sets last year about this time for $125 on Amazon. It's a great set, but very heavy. That's probably a factor for it no longer being available.

I bought it last year for about $160. you can find it at Blains right now for under $150.

12 - Combination wrenches, 12PT (only 12pts in the set) -anti-slip/lock feature
(only thing missing compared to 204 set, i.e., no combo wrenches)
- SAE- 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8,
- MM- 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, <<-- no 12mm

fiy...I downloaded and combed the spec sheets before purchasing. You can take that to the bank. I love the set.
