Thanks for the heads up on wrench boss. Didn't know they were available.

Me too! I bought a couple new sets of GearWrenches and now my BIG drawer is overloaded!

Nice set-up. I'm big into all types of oval racing, I find that even the high $ teams with stacker trailers have cheap offshore tools, usually Mastercraft (Cdn Tire). I'm probably one of the few racers in the area that cares even in the slightest about their tools. There are some pretty nifty custom made pit carts though.

I think I have that same adjustable wrench as a Würth version... I normally avoid adjustable wrenches, but that one is a good 'un.

Definitely not my go to tools for the car, but they just come in handy from time to time.

Really like how these turned out, we were able to use the rest of the nose as a small compartment for storage.

Sorry about the crappy pictures, will post better later if anyone interested.

Yeah, I was happy to have it mm marked as well. Its Würth part number is 0715 223 06.

Got that one a year or so ago at the Würth store in the little town in central Finland where my company has a plant. Würth stores are terrific -- don't think they exist in the US, where Würth isn't that widely distributed -- but they're pretty common in Europe. As one of the largest employers in town we have pretty good terms. I get something like 50% off list for the souvenirs I bring home. I have a nice Würth Zebra ratchet from the same store that works a lot like Facom with the knurlled selector ring.

Nice set up for sure. I figured with all those Snap-On tools that I would see a nice big Snap-On logo on the hood or quarter panel, figured you had them as a sponsor.

MM markings are on the opposite side. Couldn't see on first one since I had not open them. These arrived last week.

Finally got the trailer back yesterday, and holy **** did it turn out nice. I really like the latching mechanisms on these drawers, much better than the Snap-On Lock-n-Roll **** that came with the Master box. Sadly because of the nasty weather and snow, it had to go into storage.

They are going to be installing air conditioner/heater, trailer stabilizer jack's, and a dish/direct tv satellite while at their facilities, so at least we can get that out of the way.

I also picked up a new Marshall Stanmore Bluetooth Speaker for the trailer. The audio is this thing is crazy, and it has lots of inputs to include an optical input, which can never be found in anything these days. I spend a great deal of money on electronics, and I can say that this is the best iPod speaker I've ever listened to. The only draw back is the that the volume is pretty low when using the bluetooth connection. I have it plugged in to an Airport express with an optical output so no issue for me.

It's almost comical how night and day different your race trailer and tools are from the stuff my team has........and we compete at the highest level offroad. Simply put, we just can't have nice things! Last time I was in the shop, we had 5 broken torque wrenches! The one Snap On torque wrench is kept under lock and key. That jack would get destroyed in a mater of 4 or 5 races; we use HF and just toss them when they break. We have literally welded wrenches to suspension components as gussets to keep us in the race.

So I have to share that the trailer has been one of the things I have been working on really hard these last few months. Since we are going to be traveling and sleeping in the trailer, I'm really trying to find the best setup possible. Sleeping accommodations is probably one of the areas that I had not been able to decide on. I really don't like the idea of carrying coats or inflatable beds, I wanted to be able to sleep in a real bed.

The only option that I had been able to find so far, where murphy bed style of setups, which in my opinion take way to much horizontal space, which is the same case with the sofa beds that install against the walls.

The good news is that after much searching I have found the perfect solution. It is a lift setup that can accommodate 2 beds.

Does that jack have anything special? Or is it just super high quality?
Because for them to price it like that and for you to buy it at such a price it has to have some features

1 pump gets the car high enough to change the tires. This extremely important at the track on long races, where you must have very fast pit stops.

Wow that is pretty sweet, but do you have to apply much force to lift it?
I would have guessed you compromise on mechanical advantage by reducing the number of pumps required for a given movement of the jack

Nope, not really. But you must hold the handles to pump it in place, since the jack is too light to stay still while pumping it.

About to pass you...
Jorge,

Nice setup. I've got the same trailer that I run in NASA ST3.
Got a question on the trailer, what/who's battery box is that mounted on the tongue? I'm looking for something like that.
Any help is appreciated or put me in touch with your dealer if you don't know...

Thanks

Nice stuff!

Check out http://www.wehrsmachine.com/ ... they have really great Stuff for racers. All racers should have Wehrs Machine Stuff in their shop and in their trailers!

Never heard of these guys before, but their AN wrenches look really awesome.

Be-a-utiful setup OP. I think you might epitomize that 'ol saying about how to make a small fortune in auto racing :D

Good luck this season!
