I was browsing through the latest Napa Real Deals flyer, they are now offering Napa Carlyle ratcheting wrenches. The one pictured in the ad was 6 point, and appeared to have a box end similar to the MAC Edge series with a 90 tooth mechanism. Time will tell how these hold up to others on the market, especially with GearWrench virtually always on sale any more.

Also towards the end of the flyer, their NPT Napa Professional impact sockets are virtually all on sale from 1/4-1" drive.

The 90 tooth action and the brass screw on the wrench pictured tells me they're probably made by Kabo. If so, the $159-$199 a 12 piece set would be a bargain compared to what MAC and Matco sell them for. However, most people don't realize that with sears hawking gearwrench on sale so, Napa may not sell many. Definitely worth finding though for a looksee. Thanks for sharing:beer:

If they are Kabo like you think they might be Fedwrench, they may be very nice wrenches for the money.I might be interested in the reversible style.I wasn't too impressed with some of the GW reversibles that I have.

They definitely carry a different open end/grip than the standard Carlyle combination wrenches.

I'd rather have the Blackhawk "extended length" wrenches.

^Most of these threads about ratcheting wrenches are always about short ratcheting wrenches with no leverage; I don't know how you guys can get anything tight with those things.

Not accurate.

What's not accurate? Most of the ratcheting wrench threads on the internet are either about GearWrench ratcheting wrenches or Craftsman ratcheting wrenches; they're both too short. How often do you see a thread about Blackhawk extra long ratcheting wrenches or Armstrong long pattern box end ratcheting wrenches? Never.

Any combination wrenches that are shorter (per size) than Snap-on's standard length combination wrenches are too short. Just as an example, the 1/2'' size is should be 8'' long.

But I would REALLY be interested in a stubby set of ratcheting wrenches-metric. I have them in SAE, and LOVE them....sure is easy to get into tight spots...just need them in metric.

I have a complete set of gearbox in SAE and Metric and while its nice having leverage, I find myself running into swing issues because they are too long. IRC the 1/2" is like a foot long.. Lol. Even back when I was swinging raised panel wrenches, I never felt like I was cheated on a 1/2" fastener.

I guess it takes all types to make the world go around, that is why we have choices.

I might have to grab a set of these, ive had stellar results with all my carlyle tool buys so far my favorite being my set of carlyle non slip long metric wrenches.

I checked online with my NAPA store and there aren't any available in my area :wtf: I hate it when they advertise stuff they don't have. Maybe some will show up as the weather improves and we move further away from the holidays.

Only thing I am worried about is the 90 Tooth ratchets are rated at 130% of ASME torque (which is fairly poor in today's world when 120XP's are 180%, 84T are 190% and Snap On Dual 80's are roughly 195%). Combined with plenty of experiences of those 90 tooth Carlyle mechanisms locking up under high torque....I'm wondering how these will fair.
