You need the lock-in lego bucket (if this one has the slots at the top). Best implementation of a gimmick of all time just throw all your tools in the bucket and head on up.

When I bought my werner it came with the stupid bucket. I  until I used it for ceiling stuff (fixtures, smoke detectors, vents, etc) then I

Not a bad deal, but I believe these were $25 at Lowes on Black Friday. They still had a whole pallet of them late in the day when I was there. They didn't seem to be selling very well, but then I don't know how many they actually started out with to really know for sure.

As I'm sure many other GJ members did as well, I picked up two of the Werner 5' fiberglass ladders at Home Depot on BF for $15 each. Got there when they opened at 5:00 am and all three of their pallets containing the ladders were empty by 5:15 am. I actually went to get the aluminum Gorilla Platform and wasn't even aware of the ladders until stumbling across them next to the platforms.

I got one of these 4' ladders around BF. It feels stable when I'm on it, and it's lighter than all shorter stepladders that I have around the house.

Thats a good deal, but damn that camo is hideous.

Gonna need a can or two of some spray paint.

I got one of the Werner 22ft multifunction ladders for $99 on black friday. Its heavy as ****, but pretty versatile and sturdy.

I have a a 4 footer with steps on both sides and rated for 300 plus pounds. Anytime some else use it they tell me how awesome it is. It's awesome. Don't skip on safety.

Yes the 5 ft one is just that tad too big where you might as well have used your six but for painting and other tasks this one is a better size if you have eight ft ceilings. This is also rated for 260 whereas the hd Black Friday Werner was 225 or 200. That little bit makes a huge difference in the stability of the ladder. And no, these were still 29 on Black Friday

I need a small ladder. I think I'll go pick one up. Store stock at the 2 or 3 stores near me show almost 40 in stock between the couple stores. So they must not have sold well. I was at Home Depot yesterday and almost bought a Werner 4 foot Type I. Same exact ladder, but blue instead of camo. But was $65 in blue at HD. So I can live with the camo for $29 instead of $65 for blue.

I guess it's another product to jump on the "Duck Dynasty" thing..... But guess it didn't catch on in ladders....

You may be correct on the BF $29 deal, but sure seems they were more like $25? :dunno:

I just didn't need any more ladders but I hear ya - people were snatching those up at 5:30am. I got two of the Gorilla platforms and one of the 3 step ultralight aluminum step ladders for $19. The Werners were arguably a better deal but the light aluminum ones are soooo nice for quickly grabbing coolant or oil from my overhead storage in the shop.

I've already got one, and I would have considered another...unfortunately I am not Duck Dynasty, nor do I feel the need to hide my ladder in the woods. Camo? Really? I wonder who comes up with this stuff?

I bought it because the price was right, not for the camo. After seeing it in person it's really not that bad. I already have a 6' Werner but needed something smaller for around the inside of the house. I'll have to look into that bucket attachment

CjinPA get the bucket, it's really worth it. Especially when your working on anything electrical up high on your 6' ladder, that bucket locks in and doesn't move. I got lucky mine came free with my 6' ladder.

I just picked one up for $29. I'm glad I ran over there. The online stock shows 11 in stock for the store. But in the store it was the last one left. The Blue one right next to it was $62. So I'll take the camo version for the deeply discounted price.

It was not marked on sale in the aisle, but rang up as $29. I'm glad there was no signage for the sale, because the last one probably wouldn't have been there.

Thanks OP. This is just what I was looking for. Almost bought the same thing in Blue at Home Depot yesterday for $65.

I picked one of these up about a month ago at the local Lowe's. It was a week or two after Black Friday. Way in the back of the store there was a pallet full of them, at least 30.

I went back a couple days later, and the pallet was gone. I seriously doubt they sold all of them, so they must have gone back to a central supply depot or something.

I don't mind the camo (since when are ladders a fashion contest?) and it's the same ladder that normally sells for twice the price.

I suspect they'll pop up again next BF.

I like it more in person. The camo print looks really loud on the website, but in person it is much more subdued. Maybe they enhanced the picture on the website to make the camo really stand out. In person it looks much more tame.

Elronin, I'll check them out this weekend. Unfortunately my older Werner is a different design on the top.

I bought the blue version at Lowes on black friday a few years back and it is my favorite ladder! I think it was $20-$25 when I got it.

LOL true story! It's a ladder, who cares what it looks like? OTOH the marketing genius who thought camo was a good idea should be fired, it serves no practical purpose for the application.

just got back w/my 1st 2 ladders (505161 W 4-FT FG STEPLDR TYPE 1) @ $29.00/ea

personally my tastes run towards icy grape for tools/equipment that easily grow legs.... but camo might accidentally help hide the drips, spills and blood, eh?

oh yeah - thx op!!

I bought one of these before Christmas, can't remember if it was on sale for $30, or $35, but its a great little ladder; easy to grab/pull around, and solid. I just wish I could find the damn thing! :lol_hitti But seriously, the cammo paint job looks fine, and hey, its a ladder. It's a good deal, for a very handy ladder.

BTW, I would not own another aluminum step ladder. I was on my nice, fairly new, Werner aluminum 6 foot ladder, working outside on concrete that was just slightly not level. Not even enough to be able to put a thin piece of scrap wood under, which I would have done if it was really uneven. Long story short, one of the bottom legs buckled (right at the bottom of the leg), sending me 5 feet to the nice, hard concrete; landed on my side. Fell like a sack of potatoes. Did not feel good! Luckily, I'm a tough guy and shook it off, could have done some serious damage.

Never had that problem with a fiberglass ladder; lesson learned. BTW, I'm not a fat guy, either. :pimpflash

Thanks OP, picked one up today. Tried to do a Cardpool deal, but they took two hours to send me the code, and i didn't want to miss out (like I did on the Wera Advent Calendar), so paid debit card and now have a $30 voucher left over.

I picked up a 300lb 8' Werner a couple months back, which is brilliant outside, but not good inside with 8' ceilings. The combination of the two seems perfect. Used it today, and it's rock solid.

As for stock, the store had none in the isle, but I'd ordered online, so mine was out back. I'd have grabbed a second for a gift if they'd had more.

Thanks again
