Just got these xl screwdrivers with the red hard handle today. Brand new, just opened them. Found a set on eBay that went for a rediculous price. Ended up ordering these off snap ons site for really cheap. Didn't seem to have any more in stock though

9 out 10 cars I work on have twist in rear caliper pistons. That Irwin Quickgrip won't cut it unfortunately. I use a kit just like AMCAddicts - worth every penny... ;)
This...every car with rear disks I've come across so far has pistons that need to be twisted. I have a similar set as well. I guess it's possible he's just never come across this kind.

i got all this within the last month!

i never had any pliers except one needle nose and one linesman(rather invested the money in other tools), after getting mad so many times for not having the right pliers i figured i'd buy them all, few cheap ones for now and slowly buy my knipex!

Wait until Hazet screwdrivers start to rust like mine, have them few weeks and when I noticed rust I said myself WTF and immediately email Hazet for some answers.

U guys and your cobra pliers. I can't for the life of me find them around me. Lowes doesn't have knipex and the only style sears carries is the alligator

Says the guy who has never done rear disk brakes?

Not every car that has full disk has a parking brake on the rear calipers. Maybe that guy only works on a specific car all the time. :dunno:

Well there go, I learnt something. Yeap, worked on at least 5 makes of cars (mainly Euros) and never encountered that kind of rear caliper.

After now researching how it works, I fully understand why the cars I worked on wouldn't have had a setup like that.

Get the Craftsman versions, cheaper and the same pliers with a different colored handle.

Yes I seen them the other day at sears. I don't like how the craftsman cobras rubber handle doesn't go up as high as the knipex version

ordered a spare welding helmet after selling a spare on here and breaking another immediately afterwards. a hair over a $100 off of cyberweld, looks to be the same lens and adjustment set up as one of my miller pro hobby helmets before they went digital with the exception that the controls are under the lens rather than above and the lens itself is an inch bigger overall.

Today was a good tool day for me. The gearwrench 120xp's came in today from Amazon. I was in need of some locking pliers and my local HD had this husky set on sale, and I had just about the exact amount needed remaining on a HD gift card from Christmas

i got a little order from zoro in today; just a few bits and pieces i've been wanting. from left, a smaller johnson combination square to serve as a companion the large one i've already got, stanley nail sets (the pic at zoro said made in USA but unfortunately these are chinese; i guess i'll live; they're just nail sets), a pair of klein cable cutters and a 24 oz vaughan ball pein hammer (found i wanted something with a little more weight than my 20 oz claw when using my powder driven driver last weekend).

Picked me up some air hammer attachments for the hammer I got last week. Couldn't pass up the new Snap-on bar LED light, and I was a O'reily's the other day and picked up this little Lisle tool that is supposed to help disconnect electrical connection clips. I have ran in to a few times where having something to reach would come in pretty handy.

Picked up a few tools while working on my sisters bathroom. Also picked up a few tools (Stanley Fubar and HF Toe kick saw) not pictured. They have worked wonders for gutting the bathroom.

Yes mainly weatherpack, but does say "and other". I am sure I will put it to use eventually.

A late Christmas gift from the better half.
OTC Stinger (Taiwan) hopefully it will be the last time I use sheet metal pliers to remove hose ring clamps. Thank you sweetie.

gonna have to use Snuggle Bumpkins tonight...thanks for the tip.

haha.. You're welcome Old Bean.

I have the long flexible hose clamp pliers from that set, and they are great. As a DIYer I
havent needed any of the other ones that come in the kit, so I just bought that single
one... But just being able to tackle any hose clamp easily and quickly is a revelation.

Sweetie is definitely a keeper...

Spare bottle and cap for the Assenmacher ATF filler for a different type of fluid. New hose for same (old one is definitely showing it's age), and another pair of Knipex vice grips.
