Hey folks, looks like O'Reilly is trying to clearance out some of their Tekton tools. Not sure how most feel about them, but there's some cheap stuff there. Attached is a partial screen shot with some of the items and prices. Some prices are for multiple quantities.

Is this online only or in the stores?

I'm not sure. My local store had all those items in stock and it lets me order online and pick up at the store. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the store tomorrow and I'll see how they're marked there.

those mini screwdrivers work like a champ. 28071 is the part # 1.99. it is half the size and half the length of a craftsman "stubby" can get into tight spots. i bought these a few years ago when they clearanced them out for 50 cents from advance

The 5 screwdriver set for $4.99 looks functional enough.

Anyone use these things to comment on decent or junk ??

Most of their stuff is (good) consumer grade. For the prices listed it's pretty much a no brainer because most of it is security (torx). Not something you use everyday. That's a good price on that bit set...a really good price.

I am out of luck on all of it. I stopped in at my local store and none of the three warehouses that service the stores in my area had any stock of any of the clearance stuff. It must have been only regionally stocked.

I finally made it to my local O'Reilly to pick up some of those clearance tools. The tools are marked down in the store to match the online prices. Unfortunately, some of the items were no longer in stock like the web site said. Talking with the guy that worked there and he believes that the missing ones more than likely walked off without being paid for. Really ***** because one of the missing tools was the 20" slotted screwdriver I wanted. Not sure how you hide a 20" long screwdriver to swipe it, but apparently someone knows how. He showed me some empty packages that he found while trying to find my tools that were missing. Some of the empty packages were about a foot and a half long. There were quite a bit of other tools marked down, but I exercised a little self control. I just might regret that. Here a pic of tonight's haul.

I once watched a guy try to shoplift a brake rotor from a junkyard. He was wearing baggy sweatpants and sweatshirt, and was walking surprisingly normally for someone with 15 pounds of steel in his waistband.

Compared to that, a 20" screwdriver in a store with no exit search is almost invisible.

Orielly web site is terrible, searches make you drill six layers down on type of tool before showing anything. I couldn't find "hammer".
