Sam's Club Cabinets

Anyone use these cabinets from Sams's Club? They seem to be decent quality.

Any opinions?

I have a bunch of them. Other than the assembly, I'm happy with them. I'll probably buy some more to finish off the garage.

I have the horizontal cabinet and like it. Gun collector is correct, the assembly was a real pain and took several hours.

Wait for Costco to stock their stainless 72" cab (season item), it's a good bit better on all accounts.

The sheet metal is very thin, but the actual structure as a table is pretty sound. They are aesthetically pretty nice. The work bench is pretty damn sturdy for the price. The legs are like 4" tube and looked to be around 10 gauge. They look to have pretty good casters too.

I have the Ultra HD cabinet. So far its been great. I did not find assembly difficult as it took me about half hour tops to put it together.

Yep - the Boss pulled some of those into his office at work - they seem to be holding up pretty well.

>30 Lbs in the small draws and maybe 30-40 lbs in the larger draws and the roller sliders don't seem to have any issue.

Of course everyone liked the look of them when he rolled them in

I have the rolling workbench, The metal is thin and it's time consuming to assemble. The drawers don't lock, and sometimes they will open on their own. The drawer sliders are not very strong, the ball bearings started falling out of one of the sliders, it was easy to fix but a PITA.

I have 3 of the tall cabinets in my garage. I like them. They are sturdy and they look good. After you figure out how to put the first one together, the others are a snap. Hint: use a small powered screw driver and it will make life simpler.

i put up 8 wall cabinets and the tall rolling, like the looks and seem strong enough to me. After putting together 1, the other go much quicker. If you've bought multiple Seville items you might have the same problem...I seem to be over run with screwdrivers now,lol.

I just bought and assembled a ton of the UltraHD pieces for my garage. I am happy with the look and quality for the price. I looked for a few weeks for something like these at a reasonable price. I have 6 wall cabinets, 3 rolling full size cabinets, the rolling workbench and the standard workbench. Assembly did take time, but was straightforward. Would definitely buy them again.

I think Walmart/Sam's Club is the only importer, Google around for Seville 72" workbench.

I have the rolling workbench one too. I like the looks and the quality is good enough for light use, but I wish it had welded drawers like a real toolbox. Most of my tools are in a HF box in the detached shop, and I keep a small set of hand tools in the Sam's cabinet in the attached garage so I don't have to always make a trip out to the other garage when I need a screwdriver for a little home project or assembling toys for the kids.

I want to get one of the tall cabinets to use as pantry storage for canned food and whatnot since the garage is right outside of the kitchen.

I have quite a few of the pieces and as long as you have a little bit of time, they go together easily. The more you put together, the easier they are. The maple top workbench is outstanding, very sturdy and nice.

i have the standard workbench. it's very sturdy, and i don't think you can beat it for the price. my fil has a few of the tall cabinets. they seem good also.

I have 6 of the upright ones on wheels. If you place a 3/4 inch piece of plywood cut to fit in the bottom they hold and incredible amount of heavy stuff. I have two v8 engine blocks plus about 6 heads in the bottom of one cabinet.

I think they were a good value.

I couldn't justify the wall cabinets. Just not enough cf for the money. I am glad I waited to buy 10 Gladiator welded cabinets on sale at $100 each, all 10 shipped for $70.

linnbilodeau. Sounds like if you keep at it you might end up with enough storage before long! 6 uprights and 10 Gladiators, that sounds great!

I own and have assembled two of the 6' work benches, two of the 4' work benches with metal pegboard, lighted rack, etc, two of the 36" x72 upright rolling storage cabinets, a bunch of wall storage cabinets, and a couple of rolling storage cabinets with drawers.

A cordless screw gun is a real asset, but you have to be careful to set the torque correctly.

Sometimes the screw will bind at the outset, and with the power tool, you don't notice it. The resulting torque strips out the connection, and it will never snug up.

I have learned that starting all of the screws by hand (just a couple of turns) speeds up the process and cures the problem of stripped connections.

I start the screws to make sure they thread smoothly. Then I use the cordless Bosch to tighten them to the right torque. On mine 20 just about does it. After driving the machine screw with the drill, I test the torque by hand periodically.

Since I started doing that, I haven't had a single problem, and the job goes pretty fast.

That said, there is a hell of a lot of assembly required, and it can get tedious, but that just gives a guy something else to do in the garage. So what!


The work benches are very sturdy, and the rolling cabinets are very useful. The upright storage cabinets seem fairly flimsy, but you get what you pay for.

I have three of the tall cabinets. Great for the price. The doors are a little thin but the sides and back are much thicker. After you assemble one the others are easy. I bought extra shelves at the Seville website. I believe they were $14.00 a piece and the exact same as the shelves in the cabinet. Have has these for two years and no problems. They are used every day.

The dreaded 'Out of Stock Online' along with 'Only Sold Online'.

Even going directly to the Seville Classics website lists them as Out of Stock. Apparently GJ members bought them all out and I was late to the party!
