I just finished replacing all the bolts and fire proof mortor in my old wood stove, I mean its not that old. Post WWII now I am going to use this crazy brass and glass ball bed or chair foot, whatever it was I only got left one to make a handle for the door. Tell me what u think as I go.

The stove has made in west Germany in raised letters on the back panel.

That will make a great looking handle, but if you are planning to use the stove in your garage you should expect a number of naysayers telling you that your insurance is about to be cancelled and what a terrible idea it is.

That is a great idea!

Of course, when the garage burns down, it will be a pain to find it in all rubble so you can re-use it again on your next wood stove..... and the cycle continues....
