Anyone use a pallet jack they particularly like? We bust them all the time. Though the Crown ones have held up. Some guys don't use them properly which contributes to the problem.:(

I had a Big Joe pallet jack for years that worked great with no problems. It was our only one so it got a lot of use heavy material. Granted, this was with responsible users.

We have Jet ones at work, we have 7 or 8 of them. Some of them are a few years old and are still working OK.

If you don't use them properly then I'd say any brand will fail, except the better ones will take a little longer.

^^^yes, nothing is dummy-proof. I had a kid trying to repair a strapping gun (for strapping up crates). He needed a precision screwdriver. So he used it. Couldn't get the screw out, and took a rubber mallet and banged the **** out of the driver, bending it to an inverted hook. What a jerk.

That's what I'm talking about. That looks serious. Made in Sweden. Plus the brochure has a cute little Swedish broad with a blond ponytail and coveralls pushing a pallet jack:rocker: I'll check out those prices. I have a feeling they might be painful. The Crown are about $400.

Well glad to help. They defiantly on the upper scale of the price range, but once again they are the only trucks we've used that have held up in terrible conditions (always wet and poorly maintained) If we greased them everyday they would last longer.

I looked into these pallet jacks. Looks like some BT dealers are offering "private label" Swedish-made pallet jacks as well. But they're hesitant to tell me what exact differences between theirs and the BT are. Some have said the wheels are cheaper or the welds are different. What I've realized, which might not be news to many of you, is that a lot of these people selling this stuff don't seem to know their own product. They're sort of just glorified order takers. You ask them why something's built some way or how it might work for a specific application and they don't have an answer. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask these questions and expect an answer. But maybe they take orders from big corporations whose people just don't care about spending $600 per pallet jack.
