Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor A 1738 Info Needed Please

I bought this 5 years ago and i have been searching ever since to find out what this air compressor was for, age, if its worth anything to a collector.

Basically any info about this at all would be great it still works like a champ.

My guess would be its from an old refrigeration unit.

The Model A is a single-stage, single-acting reciprocating air compressor that is rated to a maximum discharge pressure of 150-psig. It has a 2.5" bore and a 1.25" stroke. The manual I have seen is from 1957.

Thank you for the info, I sent a private message. do you know if it would have been used in conjunction with something else or was it just what it is a stand alone aircompressor.
