KevinTEACHBaas...Welcome to the site and just to say....those are some damn cool signs!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kevin54 These signs are one reason I moved to the country and bought a place that had the big Shop/Garage for me to do work in. After 12 years doing these in a cramped 2 car garage it was time to upgrade.

For those who haven't seen it in my build thread, I found this one being used as a drawer bottom. It now lives on the coal bin.

KevinTEACHBass, mind if i ask what you used for light sockets and bulbs in your signs? I've got a similar project that im debating on doing with lights in that style.

Thanks!

Bought this 4' conoco 1930s sign.
it had a few chips on both sides so

I few months ago I scored a nice 4'x8' metal "Motorola" sign.

a couple years ago I picked up an NOS never displayed 4'x4' "International Harvester" porcelain dealer sign.

Hi

I started out as a trainee signwriter in the 1960's(5 yrs in that) in London. The industry as it had been, was in a very sharp decline. It then changed direction with technology and evolved into what it is today, lazer cut et.

I have always loved signs and commercial ad art.The best in the world at that are you guys in the USA. I have National Geo. Magazines going back to the 1930's.All the old Coca-Cola stuff. The artwork is staggering! The 1960's dragsters amazing!Techniques I'd never heared of.Mind you we had some great artists here as well. Some of the old guys I worked with !

Love to get a couple of genuine US signs.I just love em!

Regards

Hi
Nope I can't do it .It won't let me in.It all seems to have changed. Can't fathom what it is they want me to do, to be able to progress. Why can't they just leave it like it was?

Although I live in Georgia now, I moved down from New York so I like it.

Sign from the bar I used to own. The lights alternate on and off.

I was going to ask where you found that sign in the states and then noticed you're not in the states :)

They are some nice looking signs, where do you go looking to find signs like that? They look to be both double sided and in really good condition. Good score.

I found these on craigslist about 50 miles from me. The seller had worked for exxon for 40 years. He had them indoors in his pool table room. They were downsizing into a smaller home and didn't have space for them.

They are both double sided.

I was out picking signs and a 10 year old boy was selling this along the road in PA. He caught it out of a local creek on his fishing pole! He wanted $20 bucks......Gave him $200
