I picked up one a few days ago. One store was $29, the next one had them for $19...so I bit the bullet.

I saw this and was tempted after buying the 3/8" flex in the spark plug kit, but it didn't match so I went on ebay and bought the 72 tooth regular length 1/4" flex head. This site is killing my wallet. :headshake I'll be back if it gets any cheaper.

I would wait for lowes to clearance these out for 9.99 before I would call it a deal when the ez red equivalent can be had for around $20

Hows the handle? Is it that hard cheap plastic that hurt your hands after awhile?

It's a semi-hard rubber type that's typical on a lot of kobalt tools. I don't have a problem with it...better than bare metal for me.

I don't have this ratchet so I don't vouch for it. Usually kobalt taiwanese ratchets are pretty good, I assume this is one of them.

Can't justify a 1/4 ratchet that long that is still 36 tooth. It's not like you need a smaller tooth count for strength, you'll snap any fasteners way before that. If it had 72+ teeth then it would be a real potential purchase in my opinion.

Long handle ratchets are not always about strength, but about reach and access.

1/4" flex 6" long is very useful already but this 12" long, would be more helpful or just cumbersome?

you know, I wont say how I came up with the idea... somewhere on here I was lead to this conclusion- the HF "composite ratchet" is a 72 tooth head, and successfully interchanged into the head of this Kobalt ratchet when recently purchased for this price. is there a thread for that? Interchanging ratchet heads? that ratchet is bad *** w the 72t head in it. I have been wanting to do the same thing w the 3/8 ratchets- kind of scared something would explode with the sort or torque id put on that long of a handle though LOL what do you guys think? its a true story. I don't know why but the kobalt head wouldn't go back in the HF Composite Ratchet (surely not for warranty purposes HEHEHEHE)
