My workshop has a wood floor. It's not in bad shape but it doesn't look great aesthetically. I'd like to go with something that's durable and looks good. The shop is mainly used for motorcycle maintenance.

What kind of wood floor do you have now, just plywood? One possibility would be utility grade oak flooring (such as from Lumber Liquidators). I doubt scratches and other abuse will be too noticeable with the utility grade, and if it gets too bad eventually you can sand and refinish.

If you like the look of the wood, a durable epoxy coating will accent the grain and provide protection from typical shop abuse. It will allow easy clean up of spills, look great, and last quite some time.

If it is tongue and groove wood, I'd sand it down and put some poly or clear epoxy over it. Any pics?

1/4 inch finish oak plywood, then clear over that. is going to be the easist most ashthitic and cheapest option.

My mother in law had a OSB floor in her house for a while. They stained it then put several coats of clear on top. Didn't look to bad.

I do think Bondtite 1101 would make a nice finish.
