I needed a task light for a project so I bought the 35.00 Husky single LED light on the way home from work last night.

I have several of the Halogen lights but the fuggers never last.

The price was reasonable and it seemed to put out decent light. Picked one from the back of the shelf, came home and plugged it in and it was DOA. Fortunately, my daughter was a "no-show" for the "emergency" car repairs she needed *teenage kids*.

Anyhow, it sounds like CFL's in a standard drop light are popular so I may go that route but, I have three M12 batteries and one tool right now so I thought I may pick up one of the stick lights when I return the Husky.

I have one and love it! Before this light came out I was using the EZ Red led lights, which worked ok, but only lasted about a year before the battery wouldn't hold a good charge anymore. The M12 stick light is much brighter, much better built, and when the battery dies I just swap it out for another one and go right back to work.

They look pretty darn bright!

They are. The color temp is a little off compared to most, but it's still quite bright.

I've dropped mine several times. Spit the battery out a couple times, but it still works and is in one piece. The EZReds we use in the shop might live through 2-3 drops, including the one when the hook or the part of the body that holds the hook spontaneously breaks. The lens on mine got hit with some nasty carb cleaner Friday and hazed up.... luckily it's thick as hell, so I just scraped it some, now it's still bright, and more diffused. Win? :lol_hitti

I really like being able to just swap batteries rather than having to hang the light up to charge. Probably helps battery life not charging every night just so it won't die the next day, too.

I have one and love it. I am impressed with the brightness and how well it diffuses the led light. A battery lasts a while in it and when it needs a new one, I just pop one of my seven other m12 batteries in it. Great light and love the whole m12 set.
