Bought one of these at Kmart and will buy a few more for my basement. Retail is $45 which is a good retail price but I found this one on sale with an old expired sale tag and still got it for the $30 sale price. Real nice and sturdy. Hold a couple hundred lbs per shelf and is 72x36x18. Don't remember the brand but the logo had a Rhino in it if I remember correctly. Im currently using it in my basement and will buy more for the basement. I like the 24" deep and 48" wide ones for my garage.

Yes I know, I really need to paint my basement walls, lol. Thinking about it for this summer. and will use the good steel paint on the foundation support beams.

The other shelf is on blocks bc the basement used to fill up when the city water backed up but I have my 2nd and battery back-up pumps not pumping into the city drain so it doesn't back up in the basement anymore. I just unplug the first pump that goes to the city drain and the 2nd and battery back-up go outside into the landscaping and I have multiple 10' pipes that I keep in the garage to hook up and take the water into the backyard. That was enough to save my basement!!

Ikea has some inexpensive decent shelving too

closest IKEA to me is over an hour away in Michigan (I live just west of Port Clinton). I always look at shelving when I go to stores so whenever we go there ill look at the metal shelving and see what they got.

Looks good - good price too. I have some 7'x4' shelves from Sams, I think that stack was under $90. good buy there too.

We'll need a close up of a certain wall section pictured in order to advise appropriately. :p

Dude, why paint? Then you have to be careful you don't mess it up!

Anyway.....The Big Blue Lumber store and Wallyworld has the same shelves.....best part is they're "made in the USA".

Itll be the paint that's meant for foundations. Helps seal and cracks and it will just look nicer. Im not worried about messing it up later on, the basement isn't finished. Outside the foundation there is no stone, just dirt so it seeps in very slightly if we get a MAJOR pourdown and the sump backs up, but ive taken care of the sump problem so I shouldn't see water anymore unless we get a 6-8" water dump in 1 day. lol

Nice looking shelves. Are the frames plastic or steel?

Steel.
