Sitting in school think about what I'm gonna do nest week because I have the week off. I'm thinking a harbor freight run this weekend to get the red tool cart to start off the collection of tools for work(I'm 16 and tired of using everybody else's tools). Then hanging the explosion proof fluorescent lights we found in the bar the previous owners left. Shouldn't be to hard seeing as we have the scissor lift taking up most of the room anyway. Wish me luck.

Took the spark plug out of the snowblower with the intention of replacing it. No luck, one of them copper ones that is not available. Put it back in and fired it up. Ready to go for the expected snowstorm tomorrow.

Brings back memories. I'm had the rear skid out of our old Polaris sleds every year rebuilding the FOX shocks.

Neighbor's snow blower lost air in one of the tires and broke the seal. Showed him how to use a ratcheting web strap around the tire to force the bead into contact with the rim and filled it with air. Happy to be able to help him because we are expecting over 12" of wet snow tonight.

It's cloudy and very dark here today and the shop lights aren't helping my Powder **** cause, but the bodies are Wetstone Black (wrinkle), the large insets are actually Ironsides II (gunmetal gray texture), the blue oval is Crystal Blue, and the lettering and outlines are Polar White. Clear Vision finished it up.

... and today I did the prep for the next two jobs, an old Edelbrock dual quad to be followed by my first Viper parts. ( One of the fabulous GJ members told the Viper Club of America about me and this is my first job for one of its members. Thanks again for the referral Steve! ) I'll post up a few pics when it's done.

Also swapped out 2 hard handles on Snap-On Screwdrivers - without a vise. Had to get really creative.

I really should just settle and buy a newly-manufactured vise instead of searching for a tucked away older one.

Sure, it's a DIY wet brass tumbler that has found all other uses..

I use it for stone washing blades, tumbling brass and washing my shop gloves to keep the wife's washing machine oil free..

1/4 motor and some bearings, pulleys, timer, etc..

I've made up several PVC drums for different purposes..

My Mom asked a while back for a hairdryer holder for her bathroom cabinet. My first thought was a bicycle bottle cage, but that didn't seem to fit. She mentioned a sawed down ski boot like my drill holsters, but I figured that'd be a bit too much for the bathroom. A customer asked me today if I ever make anything from copper and I realized I might have a solution. Anyway here's what five bucks and 20 minutes got me:

I was thinking about a (photographic) Film processor.

I have drums that could be rolled by something like that.

What is the material you have on the tank at each end? It looks like a rubber gasket of sorts.

Welded up the roof light bar for my blazer, took me ages to get my mig welder working right, the wire feed on it is just **** (its a well known problem with these SIP welders) even then some is a bit like pigeon **** where I can't get at it to dress it down at the back but meh no one will see it I guess. The holes in the front are getting some 10mm amber leds as marker lights.

Test fitted the lights and an old CB antenna, needs paint now, gonna be satin black rattle can I think.

***** when snow does that, doesn't it? Quite a few years and 1 house ago we had a storm like that here...had full size Jeep Cherokee backed into garage. Saw the snow...no problem I'll blast my way through it. Wrong. Snow was so deep jeep wound up getting stuck on snow pile under it. So, no problem, get the snow thrower (the garden tractor front mounted kind) and clear the driveway. Wrong again, Jeep is stuck 1/2 in and half out of the garage, have to hand shovel enough so Jeep can get out far enough so snow blower can go around it. Needless to say I was late for work.

Hang in there, springs coming ( I hope!! )

Wait till warmer weather and walk up your street a ways and back dragging each cord. I also do this with my 100' garden hoses when I need them on a warm day following a freeze.

Instant fix.

Do the same thing with boat lines... And in a pinch, monofilament on a reel. It works even better then because the water adds drag to the rope/line.
