A friend of a friend gave me one of these yesterday and I am stoked! When my buddy asked if I wanted a belt sander, I assumed it was a worn out HF one but since I didn't have one at all and it was free, I said sure. I get there to pick it up and its a Walker Turner! :willy_nil I have searched extensively on here and google but have not found any threads on GJ about these sanders. The WT drill presses are obviously very popular but there is hardly any mention of the sanders. Does anyone else have one? It appears that they use an odd length belt that has to be ordered online but that's no big deal to me. The serial number on mine is 13 639. I found a few pictures of others on Vintage Tools but no other information.

Nice find, I have had the exact same experience last year. A friend on mine was also very kind and gave me a beautiful vintage Walker Turner belt & disc sander. He had found a 20" Apex and Burr King to replace the W-T.

I used it for a little a while but decided to sell it when I came across a a really nice industrial Delta 12" disc/6" belt sander. I got a pretty penny for the Walker-Tuner and gave all the money to my friend. It feels better to give than receive and my friend was a little pissed because he ended up being the receiver but was really stoked to get the money, he never thought he would get so much for it (it covered a lot of BBQ & cocktails). It had the original stand and motor.

I bet your's is going to look beautiful once your finished and you also have the original base. I was going to polished the big bolts on the base for the bling effect.

Very cool. I still haven't made or acquired a belt for this beauty yet but I have used the disk for small tasks here and there. I really like old **** in general, tools and guns in particular. Walker Turner, Winchester, all equally cool to me.

I also have one like it. Go to OWWM, they have it covered. I believe that Walker-Turner was bought out by Delta, and some of the old Delta units were rewarmed Walker-Turners.

Does anyone know where I could find parts for a Walker-Turner Belt/Disk sander?
