Got mine in today, mostly USA from what I can see. Ordered the 8, 10, 13, and 19 from Grainger to complete the metric set for another $52 shipped.

New to the fixing stuff around the house and such, what's the point of cross force wrenches?

I don't think I'll need it as a DIY type, just curious.

I don't own any and probably never will, so can't say first hand if they are worth it or not. I've read mixed reviews from members here on GJ regarding them in the past. One of the biggest complaints that stands out in my mind was that they are awkward to store. Their twisted shape doesn't allow them to lay neatly in a tool drawer. This may not be an issue to some, but worth pointing out just the same.

How are those ratchets?

Well they're ratchets. Haven't played around with them too much yet. But really nothing special. Not bad but not great. But for the price I'm fine with them. Make good spares and loaners.

My order arrived today. There was a brief window of panic, as the box left on the porch by UPS had been badly mauled, with a gaping hole on one side that I was sure wrenches had fallen out of.

Alas, an inventory revealed they were all in there. Still, Sears did a poor job packaging these for shipping. Mostly a thin, oversize cardboard box with the wrenches thrown in.. nothing to keep them secure except a couple of ineffective plastic balloon bags.

Still a good deal for $65 but virtually no effort on Sears' part.

Did you order multiples of some sizes?

Just curious, when you say "to complete the metric set" are going all the way up to 32mm?

Guess I should have clarified- I didn't see anything on the Grainger site bigger than 21MM in the Industrial Long pattern. Hope (for my wallet's sake) that it doesn't go past that haha.

My order came in today. A few wrenches, a few sockets, all great price, all Craftsman Industrial. A few were impact swivels. OMG these swivels are awesome. The pinless swivel mechanism looks much more robust, they bend further than my other ones, and they're much narrower.
Oh how I wish there were more sizes available at the current price.

Sorry, but you're not going to like what I have to tell you then, Summit Racing lists them all, and they're cheaper than Grainger. They do add a $9.50 oversize/weight charge to each of the really big sizes though, which is why I'm waiting for Summit to possibly clearance them eventually. I'll keep watching and be ready to strike if and when they do.

I still need: 28mm, 30mm, 32mm, 1 5/16" and 1 1/2".

Do I really need these sizes? Hell no!!!

Edit: Summit special orders them, so wait time is a few weeks. That said, who knows if they will ever clearance them, since they don't actually stock them.

You ****! You found this thread before the good sizes sold out! jk ;)

My order was packed ****** as well. The box jingled when I picked it up, so I shook it a couple times. My friend and I had a laugh at how well it was packed before I even opened it. The tools were all present, and undamaged, though, so that's what actually matters.

Yes, I ordered two of 17mm and below and one of 18mm and up. I got in on some Industrial cross-force full polish, raised panel (not full polish) and sockets last year, and I am very impressed by the value when these are on sale. These are every bit equivalent to tools costing many multiples more. I have been waiting for them to come around again and the smaller sizes were so cheap it made sense to stock up.

May I ask what did you pay for the swviel impacts? I keep seeing them at $25 a piece or $175-$225 for the set.

Thanks.

I think $16 and change per piece in 1/2" and about $12 each for 3/8"

In the search box, set the critria to:
Brand: Craftsman
New Arrivals: Within 90 days.

Each item has a date on it when it was added to the website in the description. I think most of the Craftsman Industrial stuff was added around mid January.

Good, thought I missed some of these, but I think I grabbed everything that was available minus the 5/8" when they first popped up on here.

Looks like there are now a couple Deep Offset box end wrenches in the mix now.

Including the elusive 21x23 for a very fair price!

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-21-x...0939954000P?prdNo=16&blockNo=16&blockType=G16

I have the complete set from 10+ years ago and they are wonderful!

Thanks. I jumped on both Metric Deep Offset Box Ends. I'm going to keep checking the website, I hope Sears lists more of the deep offsets over the next couple days. I've been wanting to put together a USA set, but Sears just has China box ends now.

Excellent find, thank you. These were literally added today. IN!

Update: it certainly looks as though Sears is adding new Industrial inventory daily. I doubt this will last very long.

Damn, might have to call it good after the 21MM/1" mark. Don't really have too much of a need for something bigger than that on a regular basis. In fact, the only thing I can think of is that the nut on the pitman arm on my Jeeps is 1 5/16". Would be nice to look at in the tool box, however.

Also, Grainger did mark everything as shipped in some of the metric sizes that Sears doesn't have up for grabs at this point.

21x23 Offset is already sold out. When I added it to my cart, there were 10 left. After I bought it, there were 3. WOW

I got my 3/4 sockets in today, the box was beat to death, and I was missing just one socket of the 16 I ordered. Had to do a chat with sears and they issued me a refund and reordered one for me with 10% off. I am still waiting on the black Oxides to come in

Their starting prices are actually discounted. $16.99 for a 26mm full polish wrench is very cheap. The 25mm Professional is "on sale" for $25 right now. So if the 26mm comes back in stock, a sale price of $14.44 is a good price.

Wow, "What can brown do for you" well looking like not much. :lol_hitti Hope that works out for you. Sounds like the sears shipping place has some issues with making a adequate package.

Do ship to store! I might've spoken too soon but I assume they bundle and box the orders.:dunno:

Based on my experience, and at least one other person in this thread, the problem isn't with UPS. Sears packs their shipments extremely poorly.

The packaging of these craftsman industrial clearance parts has been abnormally worse. Ordinary stuff purchased from sears hasn't been packed this poorly.

I guess my order doesn't look quite as bad now... Assuming it doesn't get lost in the UPS black hole before the weather clears.
