I found it in the trash so I guess I got a good deal. I didn't find any attachments though. It seems fully functional nothing is froze up on it. Don't see any cracks

It's an Emmert Universal Machinist vise. In good condition it would be worth plenty. If you're buying it, try to find the attachments that go on the round knobs. Here's an old ad and a link to more info.

thanks for the links. That's good info. I guess its a 6a model. since its no Bugatti vise I think I'll oil it up and put it in service

Who throws away something like that?!

I've never seen one in person, just on the internet. Seems like the jaws can be moved to just about wherever you need them. If you decide not to keep it then send me a PM. I'll trade you some other vises for it.:D
