So I bought this toy recently. I had to say goodbye to my ping pong table to make room for her. I had too many noise complaints with the table anyways :spit:

My cl ad pic :(

Thanks herb. I love the red too! I was scared on how it was going to turn out, but life's about taking risks.

Verrrrrrrry cool. Nice to see you went on a limb to try something a little more out there. Amazing results! Now you really enjoy your space.

Very nice use of your space. The red floor and gray baseboard really make it stand out. I have a tandem as well. Yours is a lot nicer. Wish I had a door on the back end now.

Thanks guys. The grey baseboards made it less obnoxious. I'm glad I painted it when I still had the chance. Having the back door and window makes a huge difference. A few of my neighbours don't have backyard access from the garage and they keep telling me how lucky I am. It feels like a cave with no windows.

I keep buying things for the garage but never get around to installing them so it just piles up in a corner. My "to do" list just keeps growing. Today I bought a air hose reel for the compressor I haven't even bought yet!! It was %50 off so it was hard to resist. $90 risk I'm willing to take. I'm pretty sure it's just rebranded but for the canadian folks here it's a mastercraft 75' PVC hose reel. I'm not sure if 75' is over kill but I'll find out tomorrow when I lay it out.

Also bought a 100 piece mastercraft air tool set for $80. Regular price is $315:) I'll be doing just light work at home so I think it will do the job for now.

Now I have to choose an appropriate compressor that will suit my needs. It needs to be quiet because I share walls with 2 neighbours and powerful enough to run the air tools for short periods of time. Hmmmmm

Yeah, 75' should have you covered! If you are looking for a quiet compressor, I was amazed at how quiet the California Air compressors were. They have a few, so they may have one that suits your needs. KMS Tools carries them. You should check them out: http://www.californiaairtools.com

Good luck with your hunt!

Don't you have a makita mac5200? I was leaning towards that compressor.

Ya I'll do a little review on the kit. But now I'm having a really hard time choosing a compressor. Too many to choose from. I really need it to be quiet, but powerfull enough to run air tools. I might go with a husky 30 gallon ultra quiet oil lube compressor or a makita mac5200, similar prices. Going to the states probably in 2 weeks and I'll be coming home with something. Homedepot across the border has a lot more choices than us:(

It was definitely a great deal. I checked it out last week and i think i'm starting to regret not pulling the trigger. They had a Stanley kit as well with a great sale but the power of the impact wrench didn't seem to be enough.

420 ft pound for this gun is plenty. I took it to work today and it did pretty good. Zipped out lug nuts all day without struggling at all. I obviously can feel the difference between my snap on gun and this but it's 1/10th the price. Lol

Nice, thanks, yea the Stanley kit that was on sale at CT a couple weeks ago only had like 230, so it wasn't worth it at all as it was my primary interest in the kit.

Where abouts in Canada are you, southern ontario?

Looks like there are a lot of Canadian folks on the forum :) I'm too weak to stand the cold winters up there, but I did live in Boston for a few years and went up Whistler for snowboarding. That was a great time :)

Haha ya in the Pacific Northwest it doesn't get crazy cold like Ontario or Boston but it does get depressing when it rains 25-30 days in a month. I went to whistler last weekend and the powder was great! Nobody actually lives up there so everybody who goes up there just want to have fun and go crazy!

so what is the L x W and what size door? I do note the bump out area as well.
looking at a new cabin and have always considered the tandem set up as the lot is fairly narrow... 34 x 28 in back but always need more space.

Not exactly sure of the measurement. What I learned when I was house hunting was not all tandem garages were the same size. I thought they were all the same too but after looking at at least 20+ town homes i quickly got educated on what's practical space and what's not.

So I've been thinking about putting a small sink in the garage. I work on my cars and I do the occasional detailing for friends and family so a hot water tap would be great! Since I already have a cold water tap and my hot water tank a few feet away from the tap I got a quote from a plumber to do the piping for $200. Not sure if that's a good deal or not. Going to get another quote before I go ahead with it. I was going to order a ss hand sink from amazon this week but I found a great deal on cl for a barely used sink. Stainless hand sinks rarely come up for sale on cl so I jumped on it right away. Plus the price was insanely cheap. I'm hoping to get it installed by the end of this month.

Arghh I can't stand winter mess! My garage is a little messy right now, but 1 of the many things in my to do list I have was to move the tv. I can't watch the games while I'm working in front of the garage.

I was bored last night, So I decided to put the swivel tv mount I bought months ago to use. Installed it in the far corner of my garage. As close to the ceiling as possible so I can watch it from anywhere in the garage. Haven't hooked up the cable yet, wanna make it a clean install. I'll get to it tomorrow.

I had that exact model of sink and the installer didn't think it worked up tight against the wall due to the lack of space for routing the lines. I ended up posting it on Kijiji. I hope your guy has more wherewithal than my guy, and gets it hooked up for you.

Nice fix with the tv. A swivel mount is soo helpful especially in such a big space. That seems to be a good location to get a view no matter where you are in your space.

Now you're scaring me. I did notice it was a little tight in the back of the sink when I was trying to figure out how to mount it on the wall. The plumber is coming this weekend to do the piping. He's a family friend, over 35 years experience as a plumber but now retired. I'm hoping his experience will figure something out.

I was a little anxious to get the sink installed. The plumber came yesterday and he said it would be no problem installing it. :rocker:

So it begins. Only hiccup was the 1st PVC pipe hole he drilled out hit an unsuspecting 6x2.

And the finished product. I'm extremely happy with the job he did. Siliconed around the edges to seal it to the wall. Just have to fill that huge hole! lol the plan is to get a stainless steel shelf and mirror above the sink. Wall mounted soap dispenser and a paper towel rack.

New sink looks good! I'm jealous :)

Thanks guys! I love the sink so much. I worked on a car yesterday and it came in handy already. I should of installed this sink 2 years ago. Going up and down the house for hot water *****! I bought a mirror and small shelf from ikea, I'll probably install it tonight

And Rick has nothing to be jealous about, his hot water setup is pretty sweet also.
