Purchased the plans for the MFTC Workbench and finally started to work on it. Built the top tonight. Plan on starting on the base this weekend.

I didn't do it myself but I had an alarm put in my garage today. There's been a rash of break-ins in the neighborhood and now I will at least know when somebody is taking my stuff.

THAT is the best use for free weights I've seen in quite some time. And a fine looking bench you have, too!

If you use the "premium" lumber you might run into "tlerance stack" if the wood you start with is exactly 8ft long. If you use the 2x4's that are like 8 ft plus a little, they will come out perfect. I opted by accident to use the nicer grade, they look like a Pro built them.

I went up to the shop today to see what was left to get the CO for the electrical after the Utility crew was finished running power to the base of the meter. I heard from the electritian, he's waiting on the building inspector. I have feeling something up. I think the building insector may have come by and turned it down for a few stupid thngs the electitian may have done. One is I don't think you're suppose to put an outside recepticle 1-2 ft off the ground. The other, there's 12 ga black conductors remarked green with tape for the grounds. Theres three recepticles ina row in a three gang box, he has a two gang cover and single cover over the three of them, there's a switch cover missing too. I'll be so glad when they get out of my hair so I can finish getting the buiding back up and running I don't now what to do.

Today is going to be a wash as far as I know. Momma had to go to the store, so I am stuck babysitting for the two little Shelties, and they are into everything it seems. Hopefully the wife will be home in just a short so I can attempt to get something accomplished, good, bad, or otherwise.

Last night I was able to get the volume switch replaced on the handlebar control on our 2004 Ultra Classic. I had to remove the fairing and while I had everything exposed I did some tidying up of the wiring.

Worked on my compressor intake silencer box:
I used a vacuum cleaner hose from the intake port, to the box, where I mounted the original air cleaner inside, surrounded by egg-crate foam, and a baffle system that makes three 180º turns on the way in.
It pretty much eliminated all intake noise. I may wrap the vacuum cleaner hose in something to see if there is still noise radiating from it.

Finished putting together some heavy hangers for a guy at work, did most of the work last night.
That is very interesting, my compressor is inside my two car garage and it always bothers me when I am working with a friend and it cuts on and you can't hear each other. Thanks for sharing!

Finally cleaning this joint up.. Also making a antenna mount for the dodge.
Are you building it with the FesTool storage system or some other components.
I've been interested in this bench ever since I saw it but the $$$ for FesTool is a show stopper.
Please do start a "build" thread - I'm sure many would like to follow your progress.

Cleaned and stored properly all the stuff i've been letting just lay around.
Cleaned up a little. Got the golfcart moved to this side next to the scissor lift for more room along the side of the boat. She's a right fit in the winter. Man the warm weather needs to hurry.

I hear you on the price of the containers. $60 to $80 for a container is way to much. I don't own anything Festool actually. I am changing the plans a little so I can use the Dewalt Tstak containers. Then for the clamps, I plan on modifying some clamps to work. The Festool clamps are around $41 each.
I will have to start a build thread when I start on the base.

One of my sons came over to work on fabrication of his PLC controlled beer brewing setup, and I wrapped my HVAC ductwork in the rafters with insulation. It was in the mid sixties here today, and felt great.

Replaced the rear disk pads on my 2007 Honda Accord. They just began making that annoying squeal from the wear indicator at 129k miles.

I have a friend who does a lot of wet plate photography so I made a headrest for him with a bit of a steampunk flare.

Installed some pain in the *** Mopar Stainless Steel & Rubber pedals on my '14 Durango. I couldn't believe something that should have been so simple was that difficult. I had to break out the heat gun to warm up the rubber and make it flexible enough to install the brake pedal. They look nice, but not sure it was worth the aggravation.

My 3 1/2 yo son decided he wanted to help me load 12ga shells.
It was really fun, but he insisted on doing everything himself, so it took about quadruple the time. The only physical thing I was allowed to do was help on the downstroke of the crimping stages. Loaded about 35.

replaced the master door switch in my 90 legacy. Front passengers window still didn't work and couldn't be assed driving back to the pick and pull today, so I disassembled cleaned lubed and re-assembled. Works now! and no smoke released!

Cooked the back seat of the 911, very well done.
I was working on the pedals and the shop light fell on the backseat without me knowing it. I left for the hardware store. Somebody in the house smelled smoke!

Replaced the blower motor in the Corvette. Installed a toolbox in the back of the F150. Made a strap wrench out of some scrap square steel and an old seat belt. After that I just cleaned up/organized.
