Gearwrench 80565 3/8 6pt metric flex socket set, 10-19mm.

Add to your cart at $39.99, go to checkout and enter promo code "A124" for $10 discount. This gets the set for $29.99+tax if you use in store pickup.

The set I got from my local store came on a nice blue plastic rail and was made in Taiwan. The best prices I could find online was $55 at amazon and $61 at tooltopia. Thats about $25 better than the best online price if you use local pickup.

Also, the 80564 3/8 7pc SAE set is $35 normally, about the same as amazon. But you can place another separate order, and use the same A124 coupon code to get it for $25 local pickup. Not bad, but I didnt feel the sae set was worth my time.

I just used it on GearWrench 80725 (Torx Tamper Socket Set), but it has a bad description on their system. I'll find out tomorrow if it's the right thing or not when I pick it up. Would have gone for the flex sockets if I didn't get in on the craftsman clearance a while back.

I can't tell whether it's Taiwan or Chicom, but any thoughts on the
Gear Wrench 68-Piece socket & ratchet set for $57.39 (after coupon A124)?

I really like gearwrench sockets and ratchets. I havent had any problems out of anything
gearwrench

Also, if you add gearwrench 80564 (SAE swivels) and use the same code A124 you can get both for $50. Metric set ends up being $26.50 and the sae $23.50.

I know a girl that works there and she give me her discount on top of the price and I went a head and got the 7 piece SAE set. Total cost was 25 for the SAE and 28 for the metric..
Seem like some well made steel..
Looking them over the stamping or forging is very clean ..
They also came with there own socket rail..

I'm in for a set as I need some swivels. Don't forget the additional 6% back from Ebates if you purchase through there.

Just curious, but what's the advantage of these over just using a swivel adapter with a standard socket? Possibly somewhere with tight space constraints these would have an advantage?

I'm just trying to talk myself out of buying them....

Sometimes in tight quarters you need the swivel as close to the fastener as possible.
I've always wanted some of these, I'm pulling the trigger.
Also added a 19 & 21mm ratcheting wrench to compliment my wrenchs. Using that code they came to $10.51 and $11.17 each.
Thanks, for the heads up OP.

Yes when working on newer vehicles you need as many options as you can get.

Also there's a guy selling his set in the classifieds for $45. Lol

Pfft... dickbag :p

I didn't see this thread until now. I just bought a torque wrench which came with the metric set which I already have, so I searched for the cheapest price and cut it by a decent %.

I'll lower my price :p

There not swivel sockets there universal sockets .
There over all size is smaller but never use them with an Impact of any kind very bad things can happen..

I got some a year or so ago when they were sale and a code. Hard to beat the price especially if you'll only use them every so often. I have both sets and have only used the 10mm a few times I think. Usually just use 1/4dr universals. Need for the others hasn't happened yet. SAE is getting less and less used for me.

I ordered a metric set. If you add atleast $10.01 to your order you can use es123 for $20 off. So it's kinda like getting $10 free. I added mechanix gloves and a small filler item.

I caved and bought a metric set. I needed a headlight bulb and that was my 10 dollar filler to get it over 50. With tax it came out to 32. I notice the sockets can slide up and down the blue tray is there a way to lock it so it doesn't move up and down?

Crazy that this deal is still around.

I just picked up the Metric and SAE sets for 49.98.

Also threw in 7 oil filters at an average of 2 dollars a piece to bring the total up to qualify for free shipping. One of the best deals I have seen!!!!

I did something like this... i think i added a 6mm o-ring to bring my total to $75.** then used a 30 dollars off 75 coupon.

If you're looking to land both sets add the SAE and Metric to your shopping cart and use code TRT37 with a small filler item. Code is $30 off $75 so they come out to about $45 for both.

Yep this is the way to do it. Both sets for $48 with tax is a steal! Here are some good fillers.

29 cents fillers
