Eagle 9k lift doesn't engage safety lock

Was put a car on my lift for the first time today, and noticed that the safety lock on one side didn't engage. When I've inspected the lift before both sides did work, so I'm not sure what changed. Pulling the cable on the non engaging side it seems like it's spring loaded correctly, but when I look up inside the trolley it looks like the lock is not in line with the blocks on the tower. Forgot to get a picture, but it just looks like it's moved about an inch to the right. Any ideas how to adjust this?

Like I said, this used to engage when I've run the lift empty.

Sounds like you need to adjust the cables. They will stretch once you use the lift with weight.

Thanks for the quote, and yes it could be a cable adjustment issue, however I should have pointed out that this is the first time *I* used the lift, but not the first time the lift was used. It's been in place since around 2010.

Also, the lift instructions say to only adjust the cables with the safety locks engaged. Then again the manual is kind of useless because they tell you to inspect the safety locks and make sure they are working but there's no instruction on what to do if they're not... just "don't use the lift".

Well from the horse's mouth (Eagle) I should be able to torque down a bolt and get it back where it belongs. Apparently there's an access plate to get that lined back up. Also got a recommended installer to get everything checked out. Should be a pretty simple fix though.
