Will a HF 44" fit in a Suburban?

I'm thinking of heading to my local Harbor Freight this weekend for the parking lot sale and I wanted to pick up the 44" US General roller cabinet...

My question is, does any one have any experience getting this into the back of of 2009 Chevy Suburban, either crated or uncrated? My uncle has a Suburban that I can borrow for the task if it will work

Uncrated it fit into the back of my '98 Cherokee. I imagine you'd have to remove the rear row of seats, but should fit no problem.

Oh yes, definitely. Maybe uncreated though. I stuff a 56" bottom I'm my 94 s10 blazer. And still shut the back.

may have to fold down the 3rd row of seats, but it should fit no problem, unboxed without the handle installed the cabinet is less than 44" so it should fit on it's back between the wheel wells no problem. Not sure on the newer suburbans, but usually they have at least 48" between the wheel wells as a piece of plywood or drywall will fit in back.

Thanks guys, yes I believe uncrated on it's side would be best. I'll just lay some moving blankets down to protect it (and the cars rear bumper). Now just to find someone strong to help me lift it in and out

Once you pull the skid off, it will fit in an Astrovan, where the middle seats are removed. No need to unbox.

They will help you load it. Getting it out is a breeze. Especially if its on its back.

Mine fit in the back of a Mitsubishi Outlander compact SUV after removing two of the casters. Make sure you bring your own tools just in case, the ones they offered me were the crappiest HF has to offer. I keep a HF composite ratchet in with the spare tire, but most of the cabinet was on top of it before I realized I needed it.

But a Suburban - you should have no problem. There were three HF employees that loaded it for me. Good choice on the box - I love mine.

You might want to consider uncrating it at the store regardless in order to check for damage.

Mine had some minor cosmetic damage but not enough to hassle with getting it back in the truck and returning it.

I loaded a Snapon KRL722 into a Tahoe so I think a HF 44 in a suburban will be easy.

the wheel wells on a suburban and tahoe are just over 48" wide..... just in case you need to carry a 4x8 sheet.
44" should fit uncrated

I'm trying to get my garage organized before my car arrives via transport from the East Coast. This box looks like it will do the trick and fit nicely under my work bench!

Definitely. Without crates you should be able to fit the bottom cabinet, top cabinet, and both side cabinets too. Could be done with 1 person, but 2 people are a lot easier and safer, for both the person and cabinet.

I definitely want to go the safe route so I'll be finding a buddy to help. I wish I had the money to buy more but for now I think just the 44" one will take care of all the tools I have at the moment. But it is great to know someone with a SUV. Came in handy when we needed to load up with firewood for the fire pit or buy pegboard and lumber for the work bench

Been there - done that. The HF 44" will fit crate and all with no problem (I did flip up the 3rd row seat).

Just watch the forklift driver - he almost drove right into the liftgate with the forklift uprights he was so focused on the crate itself.

I would sure hope so since I fit one in a Toyota Matrix. After it was removed from the pallet I laid the box on its back without taking the casters off and it slid right in. The guys at the store didn't think it would fit but I pre-measured and knew there was 1" of clearance. If somehow it didn't fit that way it definitely fits standing upright with the casters removed. I was able to easily remove the box on my own by partially sliding it out and removing all the drawers first.

Recently got one and fit it into a mitsu no problem. I can't spell today was a smaller sized suv. You will have no problem

I put one in the back of my explorer so definitely yes I was also there over the weekend picking up a cart and the guy in front of me was loading one in the back of a jeep wrangler strapped in with the door open....it was a site

You should be able to fit it in. We can do it in a jeep, you should be safe.

Even though you've got your answer, I'll chime in here to say that I brought my 56" home in the back of the wife's Suburban (with the back doors closed) so the 44 will be no problem at all!
