As I was trying to unstick the dynamic jaw from a Paramo #4 in a vertical position, I was suddenly successful but at the cost of a fractured pinky that got in the way (left/right side by side). Don't try this at home.

The previous owner welded their initials into it which I promptly ground off. On both counts, I don't want it anymore so if interested (no swivel), I'll sell it to a GJ person for what I "paid" -- $35 ($25+medical copay; labor free) -- plus shipping unless you are in the SF Bay area.

Paramo vise SOLD

Laugh with me not at me :lol_hitti

I'll also sell my restored Chas. Parker 974 1/2 for $150 plus shipping. If no takers in 3 days, I'll try on Craigslist.

I need funds for future acquisitions. The hunt is as much fun as the catch, don't you agree?

I feel your pain, I did almost the same thing to myself tonight except mine was almost severed rather than broken.

The culprit -- Paramo #4 with 4 1/2" jaws, no swivel. You might be able to make out the "CJ" initials I ground out. SOLD

Regarding the "how?" question, the dynamic jaw was stuck at the end of the travel after I took out the lead screw. I turned in on end and it came sliding down onto the tip on my pinky fracturing the last digit. It actually didn't hurt that much but later swelled up like a balloon and got ugly. My "mom" made me go see the doctor.

Ouch, I feel your pain, really this is about 3 weeks old and drastically reduced in size. Lots of ice and keep it out of the way.

Excuse the Enco flyer, it was the only thing handy for a background.
