Put together the base for my mobile chop saw station.

Picked up a propane forced air heater on Craigslist... so I can warm up my garage... so I can finish painting the walls... so I can properly place some big cabinets against the wall... so I can clear floor space... so I'll have room for the Bend Pak XPR-10A I'm going to order next week. :D

I started to assemble the gas pump that my Mom's husband gave me for my birthday. I was going to restore it but I kind of like the patina for now.

I also picked up the TH350 transmission I had rebuilt for my truck. I hope it works as well as it looks because she sure is purdy.

Yesterday: painted the walls, placed the butcherblock workbench, bolted a Gladiator cabinet to the wall, brought in the second workbench from the shed, installed it, built new top for the 2nd bench from spare 2x12s and plywood left over from barn renovation, assembled second Gladiator cabinet, unpacked tuned and ops checked the cheap HF bandsaw, and generally cleaned, swept and moved piles around as I continue to get the garage back up and running.

Finished setting up the computer for the shop, cut down a hollow door, installed the wood fillers to the top and bottom of said door, painted the door (to be installed inside the house later this week), updated the software on shop computer and started looking at "Alldata" type software and some type of vehicle maintenance software....found the cam seal leaking on my wife's car - will be repairing that later this week as well.

Modified the helper bag brackets to try to gain as much clearance. Between modifying the bottom perch and raising the top bracket up all the way it worked perfect with now 5 inch lower rear.

O and also sorted some nuts and bolts that I got for free. My nut and bolt selection in the garage *****. Lowes is right up the street so we usually take the scooters up to get hardware as needed. Friends father passed and he had buckets of new nuts bolts and washers that he gave me. Sweet now they need to be sorted.. :eyecrazy:

Took the air conditioner compressor off my 1962 Chevy, and found that the leak was not the compressor, but a hose that had come loose. Next is to reseal the entire unit, and install new barrier hoses, re charge, and enjoy the cold air in the heat of the summer.

Worked on the bench top English wheel I'm building.

Took advantage of the nice weather to solve a brake problem on my John Deere 210 garden tractor. The brakes had been hanging up and not releasing since I replaced the brake band. I found a rusted shaft that was seizing up in the bushings it passes through and some grease fittings that hadn't seen grease since the machine had been assembled in 1976.
It's a great day when I can repair something with wire brushing and some grease and not needing any new parts!

Powder coated a couple bike frames, and finally remembered to weigh them before and after. I've had a few people asking me how much weight powder adds.

The answer, about 18-40 grams per coat.

Disassembled my £20 ebay garden roller, knocked the shafts on each end straight, broke out the mig and welded up the crack that ran around one end which leaked water, wire wheeld the old flaky powder coat off the roller, gave it a coat of Hydrate 80 rust converter, cleaned the bronze bearings on the frame, removed the grease ******* and cleaned them through. Just waiting on the rust converter to dry and I can put some seam sealer on the welds to seal any pinholes and then paint.

At the weekend it was all outside stuff, went over to pick the roller up from my sisters, came back via the garden centre with a load of plants, compost etc. Sunday was spent fixing the flower bed surrounds I built and planting a bunch of climbing roses which is why I look like I've been fighting off a lion. We had an unseasonably warm day and even had lunch outside in our orchard. It actually hit 20C in parts of the UK which after the wettest winter on record is a bit of a relief. Looks set fair this week at least.

Rolled my 65 Mustang out of the garage, swept out a bit and got ready to work on the car.
Installed intake manifold, spark plugs, radiator, carburetor and misc brackets and trinkets.
Still have to get underneath and hook up the headers to the existing dual exhaust, then I can fire the engine and break in the cam.

As it looks today
