WTB, 1 & 3/8" Wrench!

Shipping from Canada killed a deal like this for me, but I still want this wrench size. So lets keep it domestic for shipping purposes. I want a 1&3/8" combination as the title says.

I am easier than most to get along with. I do not care if it has been engraved, stamped or has a small grind mark or two, or for that matter if plating is gone in places or even a small amount of rust. (I really do not want one that is rust end to end though)

I would prefer Armstrong, Williams, Proto, or whatever other domestic brand you might have. I would prefer the industrial brands to Snap-on or Mac, or any truck brand, unless you are pricing the truck brand in line with an industrial brand. I do not care if it is 50 years old with no trace of plating either. Additionally I would also consider a black non plate version as well.

So, let me know what you have.

I have a inch and something.... it is so rusted, that I don't know for certain exactly what size it is. Will have to measure it when I come across it again in the garage. That won't be till spring, since I don't go out there very often in the winter. Too cold for my old bones...

Sears should have one ? (Craftsman)

Sears does not sell a Craftsman brand that goes that large, perhaps an SK or something like that.

However wrenches of that size are costly new, a Proto in that size new is something like $56 according to their web site. I am sure most other brands such as Armstrong new would be a like amount.

That is the biggest incentive for buying the big ones used.

It's not an extra but I've never needed it before and I doubt I will. What do you need yours for, if you don't mind me asking?

Years ago I started adding the bigger sizes, those between 1 & 1/4" and 1 & 1/2" as I found them used at swap meets and pawn shops or the like. I have found a use for most of them too, but only occasionally. I thought I had every size to 1 & 1/2", but found I never found or bought this particular size, so I want to add it. I am not so AR to want matching sets in every wrench set, but I do want a complete set of cominations going to the 1&1/2" size.

Boy do I know that, one look in my box tells the story too. I bet half or more of the tools in my boxes have come from pawn shops, flea mkts and sales. I thought I would see if I could find the wrench here first though. Once you go larger than 1&1/4" the big ones can be a bit elusive to find.

Ok, gotcha!! You want a complete set just in case. You sound like me in that respect. Luckily for you (if I find mine) I don't have all the sizes so I'm not worried about having a complete "set" in the larger sizes.

I thought that Sears sells them in non-polished chrome up to 1-5/16" and up to 1-1/2" (Professional?) in polished chrome but I will double check to confirm. I have bothe sets at work. I will check them today and get the number off the wrenches and post the item #s tonight.

Have a 1-3/8" Plomb to fall back on if I ever have call for the size, but I'll be grimacing if it happens.

Are you asking if I have some large Plomb to trade for the 1&3/8"? If so I appreciate the offer, but I don't trade my Plombs. Though I think a few of my pebble combo's might actually go to 1&1/4" If I had doubles on the large sizes I would trade, but I have no doubles on the large sizes.

Never noticed it but the Craftsman sets go from 1 1/4 right up to 1 5/16 and I see you have found one.
