Ok guys, I am new to the site. I have been reading quite a few posts on here and it seems like there are some good guys here with a lot of knowledge. I have been looking at buying a tool box for a couple months now. The Snap-On guy is getting a trade on of a KR661 lower and KR691 top box American Eagle edition with matching side boxes it looks like. I have only seen pictures so far but it looks to be in very nice condition. He is wanting $3300, I believe that is a little strong. From what I have picked up those boxes were built in 1992 correct? Any info or input is greatly appreciated!!

Just my two cents worth, I wouldn't spend that kind of money for that tool box set up. You could probably do better if you wait and look around.

Top, bottom and side boxes, that is a lot of storage. If you can beat him down anywhere close to $2500, that's a damn good deal in my book.

You know... That is kind of a funky top box, isn't it? I've thought about getting one for mine in the future, but it's like they've got the whole set-up bassackwards. :headscrat

Your right, I didn't look at the top box drawer layout that close. Those are pretty deep drawers for being the top box.

I guess you could get a matching top in different configurations cause this ones layout is different.

The drawers are swapped around from top and bottom. The previous owner took two rows of shallow drawers from the top box and swapped it with a 4" deep row of drawers from the bottom. Normally the top has three rows of drawers while the bottom has only two rows.
