Is this adapter useful enough for $18.50?

It will be 40 when you get two of them as they show for most of the setups....

I looked at that thing for a good bit when it was introduced a few years back, and it seemed to me you could assemble some configurations that were not even functional for use. I decided to take a pass.

I cant decided if its one of those tools that would save your *** or one that would sit in the box collecting dust right now I'm leaning towards the latter.

Its something with limited application that in a pinch would save your *** (or atleast a lot of time) but is worth about $5 maybe.

From looking at the usage pics, someone could remove the 3 three screws from the cover and save over $54 on tools.

It seems like a silly idea to me. If I were to buy those, it would have to be online. With an assumed name and shipped to the vacant lot up the street. I'd be too embarrassed to walk in somewhere and purchase one of them. And to think I would need 2 or 3 for them to be functional?

One place this would have been handy for me was disconnecting the high pressure hose on the rack of my wife's 97 Regal. I had to end up taking the hose out with the rack. Other than that I can't recall ever seeing something where I figured something like that would have been good. On the other hand, I would have paid a lot more than $18 at that moment...
