Not sure. What would worry me more is that the handles seem to be plastic...

The linemans pliers seem neat, too. The jaws have kind of a "flank drive" shape so you're actually gripping the surface of things for all thicknesses.

What happens when you need to twirl the pliers? Like when you're making a wire loop to fit a receptacle?

"Innovative head with three parallel gripping surfaces at opening angles of 2°, 10° and 20° offers an improved and secure hold of the workpiece....Head of pliers made of ball-bearing steel, hardened to approx. 60 HRC. Handles made of tough fibre-glass reinforced plastic, ergonomic soft grip zone in the handle."

That's interesting. 60HC is very hard. Hard enough to be a knife blade.

Looks like you'd need a big hand to be able to hold large items, you can't "choke up" as on traditional pliers.

probably like a dremel, (don't really use it a whole lot, but when you do use it, no other tool could quite do the job)?

Interesting handles I agree.

Not sure I would buy/need a set (even if available).

those look pretty cool. I like pistol grip pliers in general, although I never use them.

I think Stuey was looking for those. edit: just posted after stuey ha ha

Does it say what INOMIC is? I'm guessing it's INNOVATIVE + ERGONOMIC

Yuk!...................................

Why yuk ? They're Wiha, so they're unlikely to be badly made, and pistol grip pliers have their place.

The website amused me:

Application tests affrm: In 72 percent of all typical cases, users can cope better with Inomic® pliers than with conventional tools.
Yeah, and in 28% of all typical cases they're are a complete PITA :lol_hitti

I do need some new pliers, but unless they want to give me a free set (yeah, right :( ), I don't think I'll be buying those.

look like tools, not toys.

Although I'm not sold on these, people used to say the same of the David Mellor (not that one) designed Eclipse hacksaw, a design that has since, err, 'inspired' every other manufacturer.

I could see something like that being very functional with a shorter jaw, and a channel-lock style.

Oh, wait, they already have those...
