Liguidtight/Sealtight from wall into this box

Running liquidtight 3/4 to this box. Box will be mounted on exterior brick wall. How would you terminate the flex conduit to this box. Sealtight 90 degree adapter with the liquidtight in the brick and just seal the outside perimeter of that hole.


Or better off using a straight adapter and have the sealtight come out of the wall and down.

Not sure which is the better option of the 2

Why sealtite? That backbox will look dorky w/ sealtite. BTW, are you installing a Pin & Sleeve receptacle on the backbox? Since that's what they are for.

Conduit that goes into a 90 coming right out the brick. I'm using a Hubbell L14-30 safety shroud inlet

don't latest codes call for weatherproof-while-in-use receptacles outdoors? I'm assuming that's the reason for the OP's choice of box.

technically, it's not - power flows the other way. I'm assuming it's a connection for a generator cord.

Not sure how that affects code compliance, my latest copy of the NEC is prior to the revision that required the weatherproof-in-use thing.

Reliance also makes a PBN30 which is a power inlet box with the inlet on the bottom and a cover for when not in use. Not much chance of water getting in with the cable hanging down.

Yes, the application would be for a inlet.
I wanted a good watertight ~connection~ so I went with the Hubell Safety Shroud.
