Wood lathe ID help

Ok I acquired a used wood lathe and it has a couple items attached to the bench that I could use some help identifying what they were used for with the lathe? I will add a few photos . The lathe is pretty old but it runs really smooth and it is really solid.

Have no clue on the ID of the lathe, Could it be a shop built?
The press looks to me like it had a 1/2 inch drill clamped in it, they were common years ago.
The pics are kind of fuzzy to me anyway.
