Craptain: nice scores and especially the pallet jack. I tried to buy a like new one from one of my clients that said he would take $200 and after he agreed he called me back later and changed his mind. so i let him out of the deal. that one was a little newer, but you have an interesting extra piece of steel framing on yours. nice Kennedy box too.

Nine: you are killing it at this auction house, but just curious how many trips you took to pick up all that stuff and are you now leasing a warehouse to store all this stuff?

Man that is a haul...

nine4gmc - You find the coolest stuff. When I have garage, I'm going to send you a shopping list.

$202 for all that = You ****.

Thanks man, I don't get everything I want but I do get lucky sometimes!

Could not agree more :D

Nine! I don't even know where to begin.... whats the plans for all of that?

Sell the lockers, carts and ****, keep the GW display case, oil rag can and some or all of the lab cabinets. I'll have to decide how to rearrange my shop now though :lol_hitti

That was definitely a great score on the pallet jack, there were two plain jane pallet jacks at this auction but I left shortly after winning the lab cabinet lot due to funds  There was also two Taig minimill 4 axis cnc machines and Pegasus robot arms but one was tied to a nice work table lot and went $200, I missed the price on the others by leaving early but I'm sure it went almost as high as there were multiple bidders that wanted the first one.
Table, Pegasus and minimill just like this but this is not my photo.

It took me two trips to pickup everything but the 4 locker sets in front of the building, a new friend from the auction delivered them for me with his trailer. I rent a 1000' office/warehouse in a storage facility where I work and play and fluctuate from 2-3 standard storage rooms of overflow.

I scored some clamps and crescent wrenches earlier in the week. The guy was having another sale on Saturday morning. I came in at the right time. There was a guy who was buying whole lots of things only to take them to Mexicali to sell off. That is a 12" square on the top left for comparison. All clamps are either proto, Wilton, or Williams. The adjustables are crescent, proto, armstong, and a big blackhawk.

I just got these at a yard sale advertised on Craigslist. A 10" Delta table saw Shop Master. and a Shop Master bevel chop saw 12" with a brand new 60 tooth Dewalt blade for $50 he also threw in a street broom, combination square and a 24"bar clamp. Then gave me an extra $20 change which I gave back ( Don't want nothing to do with bad Carma!)

Oh and I got this Dewalt jig saw at Sears on clearance for $64.

All in all a good day.

Mo: yes honesty is the best policy especially since he gave you his almost new tools for less than a third of what he paid for them not long ago.

Nine: glad to hear you have some extra space for all those cabinets or maybe in your part of the country they can sit outside. did you happen to fire up the Baldor knife grinder and put a new belt on it. i'm told it can take a piece of steel down to nothing very quickly so beee careful.

Craptain: $25 for a pallet jack with an add on to keep you safe. even though it took your knowledge to fix it you still **** on that buy.

94 you had better lock up that glass front bookcase in case I can't resist the urge to drive to BR and steal it! Awesome find.

This one will be cherished, I have a flat top, no glass GW same dimensions that I really liked and had to have this one when I saw it, matches my desk too. If you want to drop by one day though, I have at least two other very similar cabinets, one with glass and another one or two without.

Can't leave them out long, it rains a LOT around here. I try to turn and burn the decent condition ones while storing the best condition things for top dollar. I do have a scratch and dent section out back in the weather, taking up two parking spots(ask Bluebolt ) but most of it is **** I just don't want to scrap. I dig through that pile occasionally for odd pieces, for repurposing and repairing other things.
I have plugged the grinder in, just to make sure it runs but have not picked up any belts yet, runs smooth as silk. I plan to pretty it up some before putting it to use. ;)

So, the lady that I grabbed a bunch of tools from last Monday... yea, well, she called me up and said "hey, whatever tools are here, want to try to sell them for me and we'll split the money?" Well, hell yea! So, 5 boxes and 3 vises came home with me Thursday night, and i've been so busy that I just took them out of the car...

mostly -v- sockets, two =v=, the rat is a -v- while the one breaker is a =v= and the other and 1 socket is just marked Japan.

Then I just get a text... she found more, and the estate company that came Friday night left a lot behind... another round of goodies tomorrow night!

Hemi, great score!! I would have bought all that as well, nothing in your lot I don't like. Really eyeballing that sawzall, I am working on a Milwaukee shrine and can't seem to find one at a decent price! Can't wait to see what you may come back with tomorrow!

Rick and Hemi: a lot of great stuff that i would also have bought and have in most cases.

Rick is this still from the lady in the city where you are restoring her vises? any pictures to share of the vises or are you posting them on the vise thread?

Rick; get those laid out and tallied and you can probably sell half right here!

I maybe interested in the Straight peen hammer, and what brand are the needle nose pair on the cardboard? esp. the set with the tapered tip?

I went to a garage sale Friday morning put on by a fellow I regard as "semi-pro" because he has a couple of sales each year and the inventory changes enough that it can't be just from his household. It was windy and rainy so things under his makeshift blue tarp "tents" was getting wet. I found a box of reloading gear for $50.00. It included a 3-stage Lee entry-level press, a Hornady Lock-n-Load powder measure, Lee dies for a 45-70, RCBS and Pacific dies for .44 Special and Magnum, plus some assorted reloading gear.

The .44 dies have an extra hard chrome expander die and bullet seating inserts for both round nose and semi-wadcutter bullets. The Lee hand priming tool has two trays and a full set of shell holders. There is a shell holder for .38 Spl/.357 Mag. in the press. The fired rounds are all .357 Mag. Not shown is 100 fired .44 Special cases in boxes that I already gave to a friend who reloads those.

I'll post the overview here and a follow-up of detail shots. I forgot to put the press on the table for the group photo, so it is separate!

I noticed a sharpening stone on another table. The seller threw it in for free! It was so black it looked like it was made of carbon, but I scrubbed it with solvent in the parts washer with a piece of Scotchbrite pad and it came out looking pretty good. I tried sharpening a knife that has trouble getting a good edge and it left the sharpest edge this knife has ever had! I believe it is an India stone.

Take a look at the silver colored items in the group photo. I have a What-is-It thread going on these.

Well, didn't make it down last night... didn't realize reconstruction was beginning on my daughters room today... But, did make it down tonight. Not as many tools, but some really cool stuff.

Sweet lamp, needs a little work though...

A collection of heavy metal army men... any idea on age of these?

A Hold-E-Zee Nut driver set in the pouch, a real old Stanley door lock, a big box of staples, and a bunch of brass door handles.

Box of old speakers...

An old drill and a Boy Scouts Flashlight.

My first old school metal fan!

randomness...

Soldering Iron and electrical meters of all sorts.

old power line isolators?

Nuts, bolts, and some really old nails.

A real old North Bro's Yankee Offset driver set, and a 1976 PA plate. Those two will not leave my collection, ever. And under that stuff? Like 20 old film real holders... some have nuts and bolts in them, some have resistors...

Third and final trip there... didn't get into the storage unit and that's all going to auction unfortunately... But, looks like I'll be busy for the next few weeks!

Nice stuff! I find reloading stuff quite a bit since lots of the reloading companies were based out of SoCal. Last weekend netted me a Potter 4lb lead pot, Pacific press set for .38, ideal powder thrower, Ideal lube/sizer press and some Cramer lead molds which are generally regarded as the best out there.

Do you reload or sell the stuff off?

Prov, those "silver things" are for a Lee loading press; You screw the two or three (Rifle vs pistol generally) dies in and once set leave them in swap the assembly out when going from one die set to another.

I've done a little (low volume of) reloading since the early 1960's, when I was a kid. I still have my dad's Herter's press, dies and scale. I picked this one up to do pistol ammo. I am in the process of trading the 45-70 and .44 dies for 9mm and .357 dies. I would like to find a pistol metering assembly for the Hornady powder measure, which is set up for rifle loading now.

The "silver things" I was referring to are the big paper clip thing and the bent flat bar thing. One of the Lee die holders actually had dies in it when I made the purchase, and a good friend has one of these Lee presses that he loads thousands of rounds a year with!

See my What is It 3-30-14 thread for close ups of the "silver things."

Also see my reply to bigcaddy above. :)

I went to one sale today and got a rusty Reed 204-1/2A for $10 and it is RUSTY. Then not really a sale but a Craigs list posting for a free Radial arm saw. I got there and the guy say it doesn"t run but what the heck I drag it home. Rewired the switch and new bearings and it runs like a champ. Its a B&D Dewalt on a cabinet. The saw supposedly came from a school.

When to a sale yesterday and got a Popular Mechanics vise for $10. Then I dug through a box of sockets and found 5 craftsman sockets, a craftsman 1/4 in. ratchet, and a 1/4 in. sk ratchet. Payed $3:thumbup: for that stuff.

t4 that vise is a killer deal, even with rust. Definitely a U-**** deal. But the saw also qualifies but I am only giving one **** per post. Others may differ.

Jacob's Ladder, I have never seen the PM vise, I wonder who made it and when. I suspect Chicom. Not to expensive anyway.

Rick: have you been given a reserved parking spot in front of that nice lady's home or bought one. some pretty nice stuff in those boxes once you get some time to sort them out.

Jacob's: nice finds for only $3 and with a little clean up on that vise and hopefully just a couple screws to tighten on the loose jaw and you should have a good working vise.

Rpentrics: those lights are cool and i wish i lived closer to take you up on your generous offer. most times the pallets might be free with nothing on them.

TRunner: $10 for a Reed. i'm not going to say it, but i can't find any for a Benjamin so hopefully you can get that shined up and working like it did when it left the factory. good luck:thumbup:
