Like the title says, the WES51 (non digital version) is on sale for 78 bucks.

Pretty much the cheapest I've ever seen that.

I have one of these and it's pretty nice.

A solid old workhorse of a soldering iron. Not quite as good of a deal as the Hakko FX-888D earlier this year. It's still a great quality station though. Used to be the go-to quality hobby station.

Not an attempt to derail your thread, but I just wanted to mention that I bought this Aoyue 9378 about a year ago and it's been a workhorse for me.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BSW69LI/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It was in the ~$60 range when/where I bought it, so it's gone up some. I know it's not US made, but it's worked like a champ with heavy daily use and it comes with a LOT of extras. 10 tips, an extra heating element, a stand, etc. If you read the info on it, it has a lot of tech built in too. It turns itself off after a few minutes of not being used, but it has a sensor in the handle so when you pick it back up it turns itself back on. It heats up so fast that this is perfectly fine. Digital display, presets, etc.

Only mentioning it if anyone is in the market.

Haha, don't worry about it bare. I got an email with a great deal on that and just wanted to share.

That does look like a pretty feature rich kit.

The FX-888D looks like a kids toy haha

In images it does look very Fisher Price. In reality it's much higher quality looking and feeling. It's one of the best built soldering stations I've used.

****, they are sold out

Tooltopia also had them on Amazon for 77.99, Amazon lowered their price to 85.00, once Tooltopia sold out Amazon raised their price to 97.00. Lovely
