Awesome build. Any plans for the interior?; office?, etc.?
What are the interior walls going to be covered with?
Can you breakdown the cost?

stupid nj height restrictions in my town, so i had to beef up truss and remove one lower supports to be able to get height for my lift, the way i did it ill have 15 ft to top center and 11,6 at lowest. i believe i built it pretty strong i filled in 2x6 at every beam than doubled outter 2x6 and strong backed both outter 2x6, its an 8ft opening .

Can you walk me through that modification again, please? Did you do it after the roof was on or before? How are those 2x6's connected to other trusses?

Pioneer Pole Buildings is an awesome company. Three years ago they built a 36x60 barn with 2 sliders, a walk in door and 12 windows, two-tone siding...and my 24x36 (too small) shop with one slider door, a rollup door and a walk-in door. After the poles were in (less than a day) it took three workers three days to complete both buildings...in the middle of December...brrrr!

Yes i did it after the metal roof was on, the sorrounding 2x6s are the the bearing of the inner 2x6s, i nailed the cut 2x6s between each truss than i doubled the 2x6s on the sorrounding full trusses, and put a (dog leg ) sister what ever you guys call them on the inside upper of each sorrounding truss, if you look close in the pics you can see the stock trusses next to the area where i cut it out. thanks mike.

yes they were amazing i didnt have the time to build it, it took us 2 months to build my dads traveling all over for the metal ect, it was built cheaper but time was my big concern on mine, they were a top notch crew.

Killer build, i'm glad to see your hobby has made it so you need another building to work on toys in. My guess is the Autoist is curious so he might utilize the method you used. Check out his site for his ongoing rambling build, it's amazing.

Few questions about the building. What size material are the roof perlins. Are the spaced on 2 foot centers. looks like your roof trusses are spaced on 4 foot centers and made of 2x6's. Are your main poles(dont know the proper name) made of 6x6. Looks awesome and love all the doors. i just replied to your PM. Thanlks for all the help. Just trying to get a few specs on your building so i can see if my building Im looking at is up to par.

Wow! Super nice build! Please, please take lots of pics and document the paint booth!! I hope to start mine this year, and I have been designing a booth in it as well. Are those 'booth" lights, or are they just regular ones that you plan to cover with glass, or??
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
