Cool "Who Made It?" Ratchet

It's a special "torque limiting" ratchet to prevent over tightening of bolts.

Try too over tighten something and it cuts your fingers

Just guessing that it for a telephone, antenna install/repair person. If you work up high a lanyard could be attached to the handle opening and attached to your belt to prevent the tool falling.

i even double checked. i found an image of one and will back elroy up, it is an evercraft.

Yep. Looks like it's an Evercraft. As predicted, the sides are missing on the one posted in the OP.

I kind of want to buy the one on eBay that GMC just posted JUST to rip off the plastic handles and make one of wood. Though my woodworking skills aren't nearly good enough to make something nice enough to make my perfectionist-self happy
