Wrench-----It's hard to put a value on one, seeing that no one seemingly has one or has seen one. If a nice one popped up on E-bay, there's no telling what a bidding war would run to. But if an exact remake were to pop on E-bay, I'll bet the bidding would be fierce also. Who wouldn't throw in a bid on a
327 lb.----9 inch vise. When at the same time Some retailers are charging $4000.00+ for
800S Wiltons----238 lbs.
rbannon-----6ksi ductile might exclude one from being an exact duplicate, as I have no idea what type iron they were first cast from. But once this idea starts ***********, (And I'm predicting it will start in Wrench's garage like Microsoft), we'll have Wrench run you one off in 6ksi ductile.-----5
years from now, Wrenches garage will be 1 million square feet, and him and 300 other guys will be casting 209s as fast the government is printing money.
Filson-----I agree on the vintage factor. That's a variable that would mean a whole lot more to me. However, I disagree that you would pass on the remake and go for the original. I say you will buy the remake today and tomorrow you'll be back out there looking for the original. It's not your fault, it's the disease.
