I see an Estate sale listed and in one of the pictures this stack is shown with a price tag card...$150.00! Soooo, Friday I show up 45min. early, thinking I'll get the jump on anyone who wants it, nope, already 20 guys in line, damn. Take my place at the back and patiently wait...and plot.
9:00 hits, the garage door opens and everyone heads back to the rear of the garage to check 'em out. I walk up to the cashier at the front and calmly lay down $150.00 cash and say, "I'll take the tool boxes" (silly fools, with age brings some wisdom),he,he,he.
There are no ID stamping anywhere I could see, top, back, sides, nada. I've been going thru collectingsnapon.com and haven't been able to find anything exact. I did find a receipt in the box dated 1946 so that's where I started. Box is in great shape, 1 owner and as tempted I am to keep it, well, you cant run a business if your its only or biggest customer.:dunno:

Damn, I give up.

How much are you going to try and sell them for? They are on the collecting snap on website. Look in the 50's and 60's catalogs, you will find them.

Thank you Z, I'll check it out. Around here I can get $200.00 each for the top & bottom easy & $175.00 for the intermediate drawers, so $650.00 - $1,000 depending on how greedy I feel (or how hungry I am)
BTW, those are Thorsen wrenches and Snap On sockets, also a set of "real" Allens.
