I'm looking to build a storage rack for 2 snowmobiles. Anyone have any pictures of there racks ?

Thought about using 2" galvanized piping to get one up and pull the other below it,

Thanks

Pallet rack works well, but you need a forklift and a 8 foot pallet.

I just put it on a shelf for storage, no reverse so I can drive on/off and move it around my shop with a pallet jack. The thing is a small rocket to 95,,, make an offer.

I would go with the pallet rack idea.
Pipe is for water, not carrying weight.
The fittings and joints are not designed for the stress.
One section of pallet rack should give you enough room for two sleds and a work bench under them.

google snowmobile racks. They have pictures of some. I'm sure you can get an idea or make up some plans for one. I have an enclosed trailer that I used to keep ours in, but now they stay in the garage.

Long before John Deere went to their envirocrates and I sold off the sleds I used their riding mower crate to build one. Sorry I don't have pictures but it was pretty simple, four legs, two bars to support the skis and one for the track. I used a couple straps and my engine hoist to load the top sled and then slid the other under it. It was kind of a pain in the *** so I only used it one summer then turned it into a bench.

Snowmobiles need attention, putting them away and ignoring them the entire summer makes them angry. If you want to be king of the hill (or if you’re a flat-lander, king of the lake) get on your sled once a week or so and pretend like your riding. It will make a very happy sled next winter.

Pallet racks are what I have used in past. I would take the bucket off and put forks on the tractor to get sled to the top shelf. I've built two dollies that are long and slim to cradle each front ski, and put a standard harbor freight dolly under the track. I can slide the two sleds out of the shed when needed, pull in whatever I need to work on and then slide the sleds back when finished. Also wired up a battery maintainer for each sled.

Yup, get em up to operating temp every week and they will be happy for a long time.

Nice sled BTW
