Is this a Vidmar?

This is listed on CL in an area I'm going to be in tomorrow, and it's a great price. It's advertised as a Stanley, which I'm guessing is on the label as Stanley Vidmar. Can anybody confirm? The seller has call only in the ad, so I'll be making an early morning phone call and hopefully pick it up!

So, what would be a you **** price?

It is a vidmar, I have the same sticker on mine. I do not have any tabs like those.

I got that same size for $75. About 30" wide and 30" deep. Forget how tall...but $75 was a steal.

I would probably pass at $200 cuz I'm cheap...but I know that at even $200 that would be money WELL SPENT, and I would not feel bad about it. So anything less is fine, IMO.

However, I IMPLORE you to do the following. Before you get all giddy and load it up, take each drawer and slide out, clean the grease out of the bearings with carb cleaner/brakekleen/acetone whatever, and relube with SUPERLUBE or the like.

That **** will be like wet ice on wet ice. Every industrial cab I've picked up has dried out nastiness in all the bearings. You will thank yourself.

Good luck with getting it. I hope you do. I only want industrial cabs now-a-days....all my stuff is stationary.

Absolutely a Vidmar. Stanley/Vidmar is the name of the company. I have several and I wouldn't trade them for any Snap-On or any other box for my needs.

I ain't mad though, I had some killer scores at a handful of estate sales this morning. My dining room table is still covered in hand tools. If only I had a Vidmar cabinet to store them in...

Yes, it's fun coming in second place. I posted yesterday about a nice-nice-nice MBC cabinet that I just missed....keep your chin up, at least you don't have to worry about making space for it now

i recently got a 4 drawer vidmar with no wheels in need of paint (rusty and crusty etc) for $100... its my second on the same 4 drawer variety... the first one was $250 i believe... it included wheels, was in better paint (but i painted it anyways to match the rest of my woodshop cabinets) and was half full of tools... including 4 like new aluminum rigid pipe wrenches and other assorted goodies...

deals are out there... trick is to find them, call and get there FAST... I've lost out on far more then the 2 i've bought.
