Last week, while working at an old man's garden, I found this old battery. . Probably from the 50's . I cleaned it and now it is in exposure with another on my display unit, in the garage

Does the batteries still have acid in them? If so, and you are going to use them for display, I think I would take the caps off and put a water hose in them and wash them completely out of the acid.

Thank you for the council. The batteries were emptied of their water and acid for a long time. The hull in backelite is split. The battery spent many years under a tree, on a Trash heap.
And, of course, i'll use them for display.

My garage is big for France and especially for my area, but my cans collection is bigger. So i need to moved a part of it to the house of my wife's grand parents

This is only the oil cans of 20 liters
I'll probably moved the end of my collection in the next months :)

I've got one of those big square esso cans. I also picked up a neat old road sign at a Brocante over Easter, it's round with a red border and dated 1973 on the back and has a cute little picture of a bus and a car with 40 and 30 next to them. I did see a couple of nice old enamel signs but they were out of my pocket money range!
