How about a dedicated "GARAGE ORGANIZATION" forum category

It seems to me that Garage organization and storage is such a major and important topic that it would deserve its own forum category that could then have multiple threads spawned off of it to detail the different aspects of organizing and storing tools and items in people's garages. Especially for those of us with smaller one or 2 car garages, innovative and ingenious and efficient storage ideas are almost as paramount to the completion of a job as the tools themselves.

Just a suggestion, so it's a bit easier to sort and organize through all the great ideas in the site.

One of my hobbies is googling garagejournal and (fill in topic). The topics are usually storage related. Googling garage and storage is how I ended up in this forum. I looked at the images which led me to this site.

You're in the right section. Just not a lot of interest for a separate forum, when the "General Garage Discussion" section has already been set aside for organization and storage posts.

I realize that. However my reasoning is that there are a bunch of posts and threads that have good organization and storage ideas that get lost or die off as no one posts on them anymore and it is tedious to search through and find them all one at a time, when having them all captured and collected together in one section would greatly increase their usefulness and effectiveness to the site users, in addition to possibly drawing and bringing in more site traffic for those people looking for clever and innovative storage solutions.

If you're gonna dedicate a whole section to garage flooring, I can't see any reason why you wouldn't dedicate a section for storage, organization, innovative space management ideas, tooling, setups, etc. all in one categorical section.

Looks like you've answered your own question. If there was enough interest the threads wouldn't die off. If there was a lot of interest, there would be more support for a separate section.

I second the motion! I'm new here, but I have discovered that with so few sections and so many topics most of my searches return so many hits that it takes me forever to sort through them. I can't think of why one new section on storage would hurt anything.

I third the motion. Its what brings me back here every week. If flooring has its own i believe organization should have its own.

Yes, and while they are at it, I would love to see a "Restored" forum. My favorite thing on this site is seeing the restorations of the tools and shop equipment.
