Finally did it...after 3 years

and countless oil stains i started on my floor. just did half today , due to a ton of stuff i can't leave outside for 4-5 days

didn't get any pics of the prep, but i used a gallon of citrus cleaner from Zep and some driveway and concrete cleaner from zep and quickcrete bond lock cleaner and degreaser now i dread doing the otherside..lol

I can do those later,plus I'm on a strict budget.
That was only 1 kit. I have 2 gallons of cantrol epoxy 100% solids and solvent based. I got from a contractor back when I was in the navy and we had a new building built. , Might try that on the otherside and i have 2 kits of clear i got on sale from lowes last year.

Has a few spots where i rolled it too much, but the clear should take car of that

How did you like the ZEP "driveway and concrete cleaner"? I saw that at the Home Depot the other day and picked up a gallon, but have not tried it yet.

its ok, kinda looked like purple cleaner..lol I used everything I could find as I had a huge stain from a transmission spill about a year ago. And various other oil stains. I'm really hoping this stuff hold up.

Not sure , prolly get some thick poly and cover the otherside and duct tape it on the middle side leaving a overlapping section of the side i just did. this coating seems really solid,i think its gonna turn out almost bullet proof. sorry , the garage is 30x30

Well prepped the other side yesterday. almost all day scrubbing and pressurewashing and ended with a good acidwash and rised with pressurewashing and finally a good soaking withhte open hose and squegee . plan on laying down some epoxy today after i go in and spend some time at work.

ohh and a had a couple of spots where i dripped some clear on this side when i did the first side, the scrubbinbg and acid didn't affect it at all. its still very glossy ..lol glad to see it holds up to acid.

well I used the cantol today, couldn't bring myself to buy another $100 kit of rustolium when i had 2 free gallons of this .. its a little lighter..lol , but at least its coated and now I don't have to worry about spills, and I can be a test case for this cantrol and let you guys know if its worth a ****,only bad thing about this stuff is the 30 min working time. so when you mix it , you better be ready to start painting.

yea the new cantol makes the otherside look pretty dingy , but its all coated and it allows me to test both brands.also the cantol has as much shine alone with one coat as the rustoleum with a clear topcoat

Well after almost 6 moths its still tough as nails, Only have 1 tiny spot that is chipped on the quickcrete side from dropping my LT1 assy bracket. has some light surface scuffs , bit no deep scratches and I even had some slag from welding that didn't hurt either one. I really love how it has cut down on the dust almost 100% and the easy clean up really makes it all worth it. Even brake fluid didn't hurt it after sitting on it for 3 days.

I've always said you don't need to spend a ton of $$$ to get a nice floor. You used a no-name epoxy just like I did and got a nice looking floor...congrats!
