Hey all,
What is your experience with Matco ratchet rebuild kits/warranty ? I looked on their webpage and didn't see any info on rebuild kits. I happened to pick up a Matco AR5T off a forum member but unfortunately the internals are shot as well as the selector switch being loose.

Thanks !

Check the online catalog... the site kinda *****. The right kit is ARTRK. The 88T kit is AFR8TK.

You can call them however its YMMV if you get a rep that will just mail you a kit. Generally they handle that as "go to a truck for a rebuild" or "mail in the ratchet and get the whole thing replaced with new".

AR5T would be a older 36T model I believe. So the 60,88 kits aren't compatible. I'd try for a new one.

Looks like it's a pearhead non-QR... do the 88T kits not fit them? Never had any that weren't 88T myself.

Matco still sells and supports the 36 tooth "classic" ratchets. Only the 60 tooth models have been replaced.

No, different designs.

You may have good experience just emailing them through the contact on the website. I had to about something I needed and the person helped me out no problem. Much easier to deal with than my rep apparently.
