A friend came across this wrench while going through his tools. He wanted some info - I suggested he join GJ and post himself but he's too shy cause he's a little girly-man.

Or maybe he's having trouble with his computer.

So I told him I'd post this for him until he could sign up himself and now he'll be sure to get a proper welcome from all of you when he does.

This wrench has a stamping that baffles our eyes. Is this just really poor stamping or is it some type of middle eastern script. Do they even have tools with Arabic characters?

Anyone recognise this or able to give some info?

Yes, all the new SO wrenches come with the tamperproof ends.

Its a blue point Boxocket wrench, maybe early 30's era. Something definately went wrong though when they stamped it!

I am just dumbfounded that everyone can see pics in the above post but me. This has never happened before. I can't even see where the pics are supposed to be. Do they show up in this quote when viewing it?

I can see them in the quote. try holding down ctrl on the keyboard and then the f5 key at the same time. This clears your browser cache and reloads the page.

No, I am on the office server and that is a blocked site. I will have to look at them tonight. Still puzzled as to why I can't see them.

EDIT: I can see them now on my home server. I guess the server at work filtered out the images

It still looks like arabic to me, and I've seen a good bit of it. But, I'm no linguist...
