1 problem. I organized my plier drawer yesterday after getting Matt's Plier Rack and now I have no room for the Klein Long Reach'ers....

Haha, all you need to do with vacuum sealed packaging like this is cut the plastic between the object and the paper.

Got mine today. My first Klein tool, I like them!

Mine showed up without any issues. I also don't understand the uproar over the packaging, mine were plastic vacuum sealed to card stock. Took my dewalt utility knife and sliced it open in no time.

Got mine today. Ordered the pliers and a package of narrow crown staples. Received a giant cardboard box that sounded like it had a handful loose rice in it. The box of staples exploded en route, but thankfully the pliers were ok.

Ordered mine Monday night. They showed up this morning.

Looking to get the $13.39 pliers which went up to $19, I decided instead to order a pair of Crescent pliers from Amazon. For $24 I received 2 pro series pliers (Long Nose and 45 degree long nose). Now I discover that they are made in China, and no mention of a warrantee on the package. Their website ( www.apextoolgroup.com) also has no mention of any warrantee. Don't think I missed it, although some of their website is not functioning.
Anyone know if Crescent is decent anymore, or am I better off going to Harbor Freight so I can at least get a free flashlight......

Why would anyone complain about images unless they were upside down blurry images from a cell phone??

GJ is a very visual forum. We love lots and lots of images and tend to hate excessive text.

As long as the forum gives us to space then post them.

No idea. Somebody some many threads ago told me the photos were too big for their screen. So anywayI can't find the balance between 'small enough' and 'detailed enough' to make everybody happier, so this works at least for now.

I can't seem to get tapatalk to want to upload phone pics correctly, and whenever I take them and scale them down, either you lose the detail (like the pic of the grooves, I tried scaling that down small enough to attach it in the post but it wasn't clear enough to see the difference) either the file size or the image size is too large. I could just direct link to the images themselves but they are admittedly very big.

I usually scale images to about 1280 X 1024 which is reasonable for most displays.

I'm sure that's too big for the tiny screens on cell phones but using a cell phone is the wrong tool for the job when browsing image intensive internet forums.

100% agree.

Some photos, it's just a quick shot to demonstrate what's difficult to describe. Depending on what's going on, it might not be worth the time or effort to scale/crop it the 'right way'

Other times, I will go through that effort either for myself or if there is a specific need. I don't have a lot of 'reference' materials or procedures that need it going on recently. Times past I have.

The portability factor is something that I have taken advantage of in the past. Mentioning tapatalk before, I have grabbed images from this forum to take to the shop or under my car, and I have a photo of the plug for the AC compressor on my project car, so I can get the right one next trip to the junk yard. There are some situations, but I would say until the devices become more advanced, more durable, and in combination with the software getting better, they aren't the right answer for most people in this group most of the time.

My straight noseed pliers arrived yesterday and they look fantastic. WIsh I had gotten in on the bent tip, but such is life.
