Thanks to this forum I have been looking to upgrade my pliers to Knipex and found a decent deal for the holiday weekend. Looks like the few models carried in Sears stores are on sale for 20% off - coupled with a coupon it makes for quite a nice deal:

8" diagonal pliers ($18.39)
8" mini bolt cutters ($31.99)
TOOLS10 coupon ($10 off $50)
--------
$40.38

10" plierswrench ($39.90)
set of Craftsman 7" and 10" cobras ($36.79)
SAVE15 coupon ($15 off $75)
--------
$61.69

I haven't got the 5 off 20 coupon in the app for days. Anyone else having this problem? How to fix? I used to get them every day, now I can't get them for days.

Pliers wrench is showing up as $49.87 for me (says it's price-matching an Amazon price).

It shows $49.87 on the product page for me as well, but when you add it to the cart it is $39.90 before any coupons have been added

Hmmm, I cleared my cart and added them again and they were still $39.90 (20% off) once you look in the cart
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00929112000P

It showed the discounted price in the cart for both store pickup and shipping.
Do you have any coupons applied in your cart?

I went all the way to the final checkout page (orange "Place Order Now" button showing) and it's $49.87 for me.

I had the same issue. Also, SAVE15 has been modified to now only work if you have one item that's over $75 (not the whole basket).

Ordering from Sears is like playing roulette.

I just dumped everything again and started over from scratch and you are right - now the plierswrench is not on sale anymore. However, if I add the 8" bolt cutters they go back on sale for $39.90.

As rice rocket just said, this is really a **** shoot. Good luck is all I can say, I'm afraid...

Now the pliers wrench is showing up as $39.99 for me.
Got 10" plier wrench, 7"+10" Craftsman cobras, and 8" mini bolt cutter for $82 + tax minus points with TOOLS20 code (TOOLS15 and SAVE15 wouldn't stack for me; also the $20 in points code said it was applied but it wasn't showing in points awarded). $65 out the door so I'm happy!

Also, just an FYI, this isn't the same mini-bolt cutter as lots of people got with the Lowe's clearance. This one doesn't have the notch.

I should note I used the sywr app when they stacked. I know the website wouldn't allow such activity.

Does anyone have the $5 off $20 in Tools coupon working in the Smartphone app? Mine hasn't worked all week.

If so, what is the zip code of the store that has a working $5 off $20 Tools coupon?

I look in all the stores near me on the app, and none have that coupon anymore.

I used TOOLS15 then SAVE15 on the website. My order was around ~150ish before any coupons or points. Maybe you need a higher purchase subtotal? Either way I lucked out!

I think that's with the discount codes applied..

ALSO DON'T FORGET CASHBACK (ebates/fatwallet/mrrebates/etc)
(I got ~$6 back from them)

Are these prices better than Zoro with the upcoming 25% off coming in june? In some of the comparisons I did, Zoro was better. One difference is that Sears has more extensive offerings, and I am only in the market for ergo handles which to me are worth the extra cost over dipped handles. There are a few Sears Knipex pliers I couldn't find at Zoro. FYI on close comparison the Craftsman Cobra pliers are not exactly the same as Knipex, and I have read that the quality of the Knipex materials are stronger. I prefer Knipex over NWS, Klein, and Wera for their ergo handles and quality durable materials. The machining on Knipex is much more pristine and they open and close easily, plus the cutters are incredibly durable if used appropriately and not abused. IMHO they are the best pliers/cutters etc. available.
