I found that a good tightening of the head set screw eliminated the side to side head play in my flex 120xp's. They also still flex freely, with no noticeable extra resistance from the tightening.

Thanks. I'm going to dig in to them a bit further and see what i can do. For the price, they're pretty tough to beat. The 1/4 has no play at all and the more i use it, the smoother it gets.

You can walk in buy from most Caterpillar equipment dealers. It's all I bought when I worked for CAT. 60% cost for mechanics.

Here is a 3/8 ratchet I bought to replace a lost one. It's never used as I found the ratchet (Glad I did as it had a SO semi deep socket in it)

As you can see its a different handle forging. Same internals as the F936

I also have CAT black SO hard handles, SO pliers set bla bla.

Oh that's nice! i'll have to look in to it! Thanks for posting!

Oh you bet. Email me and I will send you the CAT tool PDF. Your gonna need part numbers as they ain't a tool shop with displays or anything like that.

They are real good ratchets. Av beat the living **** out of the 1/4 - 3/8 & 1/2 units without any sign of failure so far.

First Snap On ratchets. Dual 80's with industrial finish. I went with industrial hoping my kid would reach for the shiny chrome'd Craftsman's instead of these.

Its been awhile since ive contributed to this thread but all that ended today! When i spent a whopping $6.** on a new contour gauge at lowes. Left my last one at my buddys paint shop and he moved buildings and i guess the gauge didnt make it in the shuffle. General brand and a surprising US stamping!

Also, Unexpectadly sold about $600 worth of car parts this week that were taking up shop space and its looking like Dagger tools is going to be getting a fair chunk of that!

Never seen a Riveted FOD dual 80 before? The Rivet them together to prevent Foreign object Damage to delicate equipment. IE the thing won't come apart at the wrong time.

I always buy industrial if I can. Cheaper and the finish goes a lovely gun mental colour over time.

there are chrome ones held together with rivets also. I don't know why because they make chrome tools that are for FOD areas.

I didn't need this, but when i saw the price of 13 bucks on clearance, I couldn't stop myself! That's a buck a piece!!!!

13pc 60tooth 3/8 set and a flawless finish to my surprise!

I needed new sockets because I was tired of using a mismatch of old beat up assorted sockets. Got these because a) I'm not a pro b) the chrome really looks awesome c) lifetime warranty and d) they were $20 a rail and seem pretty darn nice for that price. Plus I really like the colour coded strips.

I paid twice that through Cripe (which was still a great deal). Same as you, didn't really need it, but couldn't argue with the price.

I looked on cripe not long ago for another set of those GW sockets/ratchet and didn't see them. I wouldn't mind having a second set to put in my car.

I ordered these from Home Depot based on brand recommendations from some of you. They are to build a 2' square frame for a wedding picture prop from 2"x2". People hold it in front of themselves while a picture is taken. Popular these days I'm told.
