I hope I posted this in the right place, if I didnt please move.

I have an opportunity to acquire M2 HSS titanium coated drill bits (fractional, letter, and number sizes) they are import, but they are extremely high quality, fully ground, not rolled like the ones in the $49 115pc sets. I will have jobber length and stubby length which are great for using in the smaller benchtop mill / drill machines. They will be priced somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4 of what mcmaster charges for similar ones.

Ive got feelers out to other outlets for these as well and if theres a good amount of interest and I decide to pull the trigger on it, ill probably have them in 5 or 6 weeks. There would be ongoing availability of them, its not a one time deal. I will probably do some sort of warranty on them as well.

Let me know your thoughts.

I'd be interested if they are quality bits, I need a good amount to replace worn ones so my drill indexes do not have open spots.

Check out the gunsmith and machinist forums that are out there, I'm sure you could sell a ton of them if they are quality drills.

A few questions for you
"stubby length" is the machine screw length?
point angle?
in an index?
center drills available? far more use full for drilling out bolts.

as an example of pricing -dont hold me to it until i have them, 1/8" $0.75; 1/4" $1.90; 1/2" $5

again, these are much, much higer quality than the titainium coated bits from most of the importers and harborfreight.

I have some samples coming, will post back with more information when I get them in.

yes, stubby length = machine screw length

118 deg point (or 135 if there is some reason its needed)

These are bulk, I can supply them as a complete index, but i am not sure of the price yet.

I will have center drills and countersinks at a later date, im talking to a place where I can get USA made ones of those.

May be interested. I Look forward to a possible deal. We use a decent amount of 7/32, but they need to be able to stand up to rough usage, ( semi truck floors) so Tin may not be best.

If you go through alot of a particular size or two, i can get cobalt ones at the same time I get my tin ones.
