Gearwrench X-Beam Ratcheting Wrenches

So... I've had these Gearwrench X-Beam ratcheting wrenches for ~3.5 years now, but only used them a handful of times.

I feel I got my money's worth from them, but most of the time they just sit around collecting dust. Too much overlap with other wrenches.

Strange thing is, I have multiple ratchets and prefer using different ones for different tasks. With these X-beam non-reversible ratchets, there are rare occasions when they're needed, and even then other options might be available.

I guess I let myself get caught up by the 70%-off deal.

These are good ratchets, just not for me,

I like the idea, but a switch is a must. Not to mention; it may be just me, but if I'm reaching into an engine bay I always have my pinky either in the open or closed end. Makes it a lot easier to line up and grab it of it falls (especially over a pit)

Why can't deals like this happen more often!

It just adjusts the grip. I get it! I don't know about actually buying them though, not much of a wrench guy. If I need better leverage I go to a breaker bar (if there's room).

These are probably really good for wrench guys if they're older and/or got joint pain.

The X-Beams were the first wrenches (in modern years?) to feature twisted handles. They are actually VERY comfortable to use, and I have a few non-ratcheting X-Beams that I love using.

But these zero-offset ratcheting wrenches? Meh.

The reversibles weren't on sale, these were, and I fell for the "wow this is too great of a deal to pass up" mentality.

If I didn't already have a set of good reversibles, I might have looked more closely at the reversible ratcheting X-Beams.

I have the Kobalt version of the wrenches, and I have had good luck with them thus far. Handles are comfortable, and I haven't had any issues with the ratcheting mechanism slipping.
